I think its time to bench Chytil and give Barron a look between LAF and Gauthier. - aecliptic
I don't think we'll see lineup changes until we lose. Could be tonight, but hopefully not. I'm still a Chytil apologist although it has gotten harder over the past couple of weeks. I'm just concerned if we move on from him we will feel like Ottawa after the Zib trade in a couple of years. He's still so young it just doesn't feel that way because he's been in the league since he was 17.
I also don't see the spark in Laf that you see. Gauthier has been pretty good lately, and I'm not concerned about Laf but I don't fully agree that Chytil is the one that's holding those two back.
All in all, the team is rolling so I wouldn't expect any shakeups until that changes |

Honestly, now is the perfect time to see if Huska can survive in the NHL.
Avs are a little short-handed, Rangers are playing with house money, and Igor isn't too far away from returning.
Give the kid a chance. See if you catch lightning in a bottle.

I think our biggest issue is Chytil.
tbh, Nemeth is really a non-issue. Are there better bottom pairing defensemen in the league, sure! But this one is ours and hes not inherently terrible. The contract is a bit much but we can deal with that when we need to. - aecliptic
I look at Nemeth as being a much better version of Staal at less than half the price. It makes you wonder though why Hajek hasn't played even ONE game yet! |

we can't/won't mess around with the lineup going up against a team scoring at will like the Avs |

Kinda funny you say that. I was at the game and, despite the background noise, that place got quiet, fast. Then some very intelligent person had the great idea to scream out, "WHAT, IS HE DEAD OR SOMETHING!?" to question everyone's silence. Keep in mind, a dude just got drilled in the head at 40 miles and hour by a 200 pound weight and hadn't moved at all. Even before that was yelled out, the thought did cross my mind for a few moments. - jmatchett383

He was skating up the ice and lost control of the puck, skating with his head down looking for it trying to regain control and got nailed. The time between him losing the puck, trying to regain it and getting hit is a super human amount of speed and time to react. - aecliptic
But when you slow it down to 1/20th speed, it's clear Trouba had time to prevent the hit.

Fox would have atomized and passed through Khiara and the brain damage would have been purely psychological.

It's too bad the Rangers can't just say (frank) the cap and pay a fine for going over. |

If Kane was a Center, I would strongly consider it. However since he is a winger, it makes it an easy PASS. - TommyGTrain
Kane (and Panarin) plays like a center- think Larry Bird and point guard
I would say yes to everyone in the article except Kakko

Better prospects given, more likely additional $ retained.
I would love Kane but this is kind of a Faustian dilemma and how much does giving up the level of prospects required narrow the window to win?? |
