fun facts:
out of the top 10 teams (winning P%) in the NHL currently, 7 are below 50% on FOs including the top 4 teams - Greschnergy#4
Ok, but wouldnt it be nice to be one of those teams that is decent at faceoffs? Wouldnt it be nice at an important part of the game to have that one guy out there that doesnt make you cringe?
To be quite frank, I only want a swap out of Chytil. |

Not sure anyone noticed it or talked about it, but Georgy totally showed up Nemeth on that first goal last night
I’m starting to really want him gonzo. |

I saw it. I wanted to see how the rest of the night played out. Then I forgot about it.
I'm not comparing the two but Hank did the same thing at times. Granted he was here much longer and had a HoF career before doing it.
Georgiev needs a little slack all around. He's doing enough so that they can stay in games. He is 4-1-1, not too bad for someone that "sucks". That being said I would not be terribly upset if he was sent out and another backup brought in. |

In Georgie's defense (or lack thereof) that was one of the worst plays I've ever seen a defenseman make. |

Id like to see if maybe they can grab an experienced vet like Halak from VAN. |

I'd rather have Fleury but I would not mind either. Maybe even Holtby if available. |

Agreed, I told my wife that Nemeth was awful and that wasn't Georgiev's fault. |

Laf wasn't even comfortable switching from LW to RW I don't think he'd be comfortable at C at all |

True, but he plays more like a C than Chytil does. Much more. |

Left to right is a bit more polarizing than going from left to C. As mentioned, I think the space he would gain to drive a play and make decisions would suit his game a bit more. |

I disagree with that. LW to RW is the same position, just switching sides. C is a different position with different responsibilities.
Add to that the kid is 20. Plenty of guys come into the league as centers and start at wing to get more comfortable in the league. You don't often see guys that haven't found their footing playing their natural position that they dominated every other level at being moved to center.
I'm not saying it's impossible I just don't see it. |

Yea he’s a more mentally scary player for opponents to face than he is anything else. He needs space to excel and let his brain and IQ go to work. |

Its not just switching sides, its doing everything backwards from what youre used to. The point were making here is his hockey IQ lends itself to be far more capable at center than Chytil is. |

With laf I think what will eventually happen is he’ll be the top line lw. Right now they don’t need him to be w/ Kreider or Panarin. Once either start to slow down that’s when Laf will jump up. He’ll get the 1:30 of PP time where he’ll produce much much more. It’s very hard to produce 5 on 5 on the 3rd line and when the 4th line plays alot too. It’s not a good situation for him to really produce unfortunately. It’s a catch 22 where you don’t want him labeled a bust because of it tho. He does have sick skills you can see. His speed is def not elite which could cap him some |

I know everyone keeps saying his speed isn't elite but he certainly isn't slow. |
