A lot of the Sabres support comes from Southern Ontario. For sure there's more than enough fan support. But the Leafs have historically blocked any attempt of putting a team there.

Correct. The rivalry was waaaaay more than that 1 game. There was the press and fans that were constantly at each other for years. 2 organizations that genuinely hated one another. That game was the culmination of some nastiness that was ongoing for years.

The Coyotes have until 5 p.m. on Dec. 20 to pay the outstanding arena invoices and taxes from 2020-21. If they don't they will be locked out of Gila River Arena
