3. Nuge has a full NMC and just signed a team friendly deal.

5. A third team is going to help out the oilers and Habs by eating 2.6 mill of salary for four years all for the price of a couple late round picks.
6. Oilers goaltending isn’t the teams problem. Defence and secondary scoring is.
7. Most Habs fans would tell you Price has negative trade value right now but apparently Ek has them getting a top 6 Center, a first round pick plus more for him.

The deal of course includes RNH waiving his NMC and leaving the mansion he just built to move to Montreal where he'll pay more taxes, face added pressure, and lose for years to come. The bar has been set at 1st rd draft pick for a $6million contract (see Marleau, Patrick and the Leafs/Car). And that was for one year. 2nd and 4th not getting it done.

All the NMCs aside, Price going to Edm makes sense for both player and team. But can't see it happening this year. If it did, one of the goalies would have to come back, and who is going to take Mile Smith with that extra year attached? And, again, so many draft picks to take a portion of all that money for multiple years.

First if this would happen, which it won't, there would have to be a third team involved and is Edmonton really going to take on prices contract for 5 more years even if money is retained. So another Hugh contract taking up more cap space. Still think fleury is better option.
