This article sums it up perfectly, couldn't state it better myself!
https://bleacherreport.co...delphia-flyers-to-rebuild
Only thing is to me there is no question about it, its time to let go of G and starting building a new future! - jd250
Much of what is written in that article contradicts many of your positions on the team that you have posted in the recent past. It's been time to do a rebuild. Current management and Fletcher interrupted that. |

Terrible pick? Huh? To get a player like him in the 5th round, that is outstanding value! - jd250
It was sarcasm. I think we should wait to see what Denoyers actually does and if he makes it to the NHL. |

For sure, but right now he at least has good potential |

Obviously this article sums up what I have been thinking and posting recently. Sure I was optimistic coming into this season, even though I had serious doubts given their injuries and what I have consistently posted for years regarding the lack of top end talent. I've seen enough now to say "Hey Fletcher, nice try attempting to salvage this thing but now its clear you have to cut bait and rebuild!" |

Frost had good potential too! Its all potential until you do it consistently at the NHL level. Frost to his credit is finally starting to show signs, I am rooting for him to continue to develop, this team needs to not miss on another 1st round pick! |

Here is the reality. The article is in conflict with pretty much all of your previous positions. For example, in the weeks leading up to before Vigneault was fired, you were posting repeatedly that coaching is not the issue. This is another in a line of a repeated pattern where eventually you've been shown to be on the wrong side of things and then post an article or a source that you claim is spot on! As if you knew it all along. You were told back in the summer that Fletcher was making a mistake. By myself and others.

So are you admitting that your statement of "to get a player like him in the 5th round, that is outstanding value!" on Desnoyers is premature?

I think the only difference is as I stated, I believe Fletcher can and will do a good job if ownership is willing to reset. - jd250
Fletcher hasn't done a good job so far. Last year was a reset. A reset is not what is needed. |

I still have doubts about Frost. Giroux was a late first round pick that may have not grabbed a spot right away but when he did grab a spot, became instantly our best player. This isn’t the case with Frost. |

I posted that it was on the players and I still think that way. Obviously when I post repeatedly that this team lacked top end talent I am going to say its on the players, especially on the PP. I also posted I was tired on coaches being scape goats, and I feel that way too. However I also posted I understood that firing AV was a must after the team loses 8 in a row and gets blown out by Tampa, there was no way around it. I also posted that I don't believe AV should hire another coach until the off season so he has time to determine what he wants to do with this team right now, I still feel that way also!
Again, you just can't have a conversation with you, its all about who is right and who is wrong. You need need to really think about this and improve, maybe make it a New Year's resolution! |

Last season was not a reset!! No even close! Last off-season was a shake-up and an attempt to fill some major holes on the team. Fletcher tried to reinforce this group with talented players to give them a shot at putting last year behind them. It didn't work, at least partly because of injuries to Ellis. I thought you, being the all-knowing person on this forum, would know what a reset is, but apparently you don't. |

And you should have your doubts about Frost until he shows what he can do consistently at the NHL level. I am just happy he is showing something positive, at least that is something to look forward to watching this season. I mean lets face it, there is not much that is interesting to watch on this team. |

Ya, I guess it could be taken like that. My point is anytime you can draft a player in the 5th round that is showing the potential Desnoyers is showing, that is a good pick. |

So then you don't think the article is spot on? This is exactly what I'm talking about. Changed your mind again. It's not about right and wrong. It's about being wrong all the time and then afterwards changing position and implying you knew it all along. |

Reset, shake up, whatever you want to call it. If you're asking me if I can decipher the numerous terms you want to apply to it, depending on which way the wind is blowing, no I don't know. Nor do I need to know.

Look, I shared the article because I agreed with it and thought it stated the CURRENT STATE quite nicely. My opinions of the team as solely based on the current state of the team, its not about what I thought 3 months, 6 months, or 12+ months ago. Again, can't even have a conversation, its all about who is right and who is wrong, you're a sad fellow. |

Not talking about 3, 6 or 12 months ago. Talking about a week or two ago. About the current state. If doesn't matter if it's yesterday or a year ago, it's the same thing. How you were posting that the coach was not the problem when myself and others were saying they needed to fire the coach.
"Vigneault did not have the team prepared, and the Flyers roster is definitively better than the results show.".
You didn't see that about the team. Once Vigneault was fired. You changed your mind according to the "current state" after the fact. |
