I thought I'd respond with this guy, as I know you like him so much
I don't know if it's sustainable, all I know is it's happening. Kinda like the Canucks of 2015 after finishing 6th last, or whatever it was, and then having a 100 point season. Probably not going to keep that pace up, unless they have kids sitting in the weeds ready to take the reins? I don't know enough about their system. I don't even know much about the Canucks system - Pacificgem
This guy, is just a better person.
McTavish was there but got sent down. Not sure he was fully ready. Comtois was there and had 33 points in 55 games and followed that up with 1 point in 13 games before getting injured this season. Drysdale was hung out to dry at the start of the season.
Jacob Perrault doing really well in the AHL for them. Same with Brayden Tracey, point wise that is. Don't ask me about the rest of their games, haven't seen the Gulls play.
NHL is a different ball game than the AHL though.
Gadz was a ppg last season and now has 1 point in 16 games. |

Dan Murphy's a knob himself, any 50 year old man who cuts his hair like that is a tard...just my humble opinion. Even if he is just the host, not the producer who decides who comes on the show and who doesn't....he's still a tard - Pacificgem
This isn't a humble opinion at all. Sounds more like hair envy. At 50 any man that has hair should be free to cut it how they choose. |

I can see him playing out the remainder of his contract in the minors. Then joining Jake in the K. |

Is your new avi the gated community flag? - Marwood
there's two flags at the gate entrance, I was just out walking the dog and walked by them, one American flag and one Arizona state flag...so to answer you question, yes - LOL. |

Ha...I disagree, any man who's 50 but tries to look like a 30 year old is doing himself a disservice. It's not a good look...IMHO. Now, for a young man-whore like Don, it's ok. |

Scary thought, at one time I really wanted to acquire him, but now that many of his character flaws have been exposed, no thanks! I thought it was just a maturity thing and he'd grow out of it, but no, he has some serious character flaws he'll carry with him for the rest of his life. |

Didn’t make the WJC roster? Neither did Seth Jarvis last year.
Now he has 9 points in his last 14 NHL games.
Life moves fast.
Podz put him on his ass last night. |

Ya they were there last year too, no?
I don't think those guys are good on-air people at all. Their writing is fine, can be hit or miss (Wyatt's the best for his post-games), but they just don't have a great TV personality thus far - NewYorkNuck
I did know Drance has been a guest a few times on intermission, but as you say, not a great TV personality. I read somewhere that FA is pissed at imac for his piece about optics of firing Gear and the other guy. Friedman and the HN panel were discussing the tweet by FA on HNIC |

I don't.
I have noticed though that a lot of the "hot takes" have disappeared from here. |

Ya Drance wrote what I though was a good blurb on the Athletic on a different viewpoint to the FA vs Media chatter.
Basically that FA/the Canucks fired their in-house media and reporter guy during the pandemic, and haven't replaced that. His one direct way to help control/add to the media narrative, create engaging positive news around the team, etc. and he just doesn't use that outlet he has. Lots of other teams have brought in new people to create a story for the team and create that positive media coverage, but FA hasn't.
Can post it here if anyone wants to read it. |

Canucks could have drafted out of their back yard Devon Toews with any of these picks in the 2012 NHL entry draft but they ended up with this poop.

Benning hired him. Was working with a hockey academy somewhere before.
Rick Dhaliwal
Sounds like Yogi Svejkovsky will be joining the VAN Canucks and Abbotsford Canucks as a skills coach.
Svejkovsky was with the Delta Academy.
Good move by the Canucks, Svejkovsky has worked with many NHL players over the years.
