Going on a limb but I think a prospect that looks good is Lockhart ( two years away ). Shifty kid with a good shot. Looks a little like Hoglander.

I take JFresh stats/graphs with a big grain of salt but anyone who actually thought Poolman > Schmidt probably had some bias, I can’t see an objective way to make that statement.
Schmidt would also flourish under Bruce, just like he did under Gallant and now Maurice. all coaches who like aggressive puck pursuit. - Nucker101
5.9 mil/yr vs 2.5 mil/yr... why is that even a comparison.

You wanted to run with Demko a little early in the process of his development. I'm glad they eased him in with Marky as a buffer. It worked out perfectly. - Load Management
perfectly would have been getting something for Markstrom before he walked but better then signing that contract he got.

Why you gotta rain on my parade? LOL!! I’m glad they took their time with him but I think he was ready a year earlier and they should’ve traded Marky instead of letting him walk for free #asset-management - Pacificgem

I said he would be top 6 back when his competition for top 6 was Loui Jake Vessy Roussel Motte Bailey Beagle.
When the team got Garland I then said third line but he is proving ahead of schedule. All good. - VANTEL
He'll get there. No doubt about it. I've enjoyed his progression so far. Yes he's further ahead probably than most expected, including myself. Just don't want to see him get blasted too many times like last night at the end there. Tough kid though, that hit would've liquified my vital organs. |

I already sorta addressed this on the last page. People forget the circumstances. Marky hurt during stretch run nearing TDL, Demko not that good on first run as #1.
Season interrupted by Covid, make bubble playoffs. Marky plays great, gets hurt again in playoffs. Walks in summer.
I mean, maybe in there we could've traded his negotiating rights in the summer for a mid round pick? |

Good lesson for him, gotta react quicker in a situation like that, either shoot it or move it.
He's a tough kid though, I think he'll be fine. I'll admit that I was a doubter, but so far he looks good and definitely brings some elements that the forward group has been lacking overall. He's lucky that he gets coached by Bruce early in his career instead of guys like WD and TG. |

For sure. Totally agree. I think one of the best things that could've happened for him was getting a solid veteran Coach like Boudreau. TG was well on his way to setting the kid back 2 years. |

He calls it like it is. No pampering anybody, you want that in a coach. Sort of like Squinty Face. |

Yeah, only Lefty knew exactly what we had in Demko years before all of this happened.😁

While you have some time on your hands you should take a peek at how teams have fared coming out of a Covid shutdown this season. |

Let’s be honest, it was both Benning and I who saw his greatness before y’all did |

LOL - normally that might be true but I was always happy (I think) with him. He’s big and athletic and I was happy they took him. Tonne of raw talent which I was excited about.
I said before the season started, if the team doesn’t have success it’s more on Green than Benning as JB has a decent group of players after eight years. - Pacificgem
I read lots of fans of other teams picking before and after us saying take demko, I didn’t know who he was lol, then van picked him they were pissed. |

It’s a point of view. Like someone picking the coldest day of the year to refute global warming. But honestly, if you’re going to keeping beating the same drum at least change the rhythm up from time to time. Lol. |
