I will probably have the occasional beer eventually. I haven't been an overly heavy drinker for a while. Same with weed, I can go weeks. It's the tobacco that I need to be done with for good. 3 weeks so far. Went to a friend's birthday party last night and had a much easier time than I expected.

when I quit, I subbed weed for it. I used to be a 10 joint a day guy for 20 years. Now I go months without even a puff. Alberta effect compared with living in BC. Plus dealing with the Vid for so long, weed doesn't help it, and I don't like edibles.

I go 6 weeks without a drink all the time because I just don't bother to go buy alcohol.

Was talking to a co-worker the other day who said he did all his Christmas booze shopping when we were working in Alberta a month ago. He took back like $500 worth of booze. He said it's gone already. 7-24's of bud and a whole lot of other stuff.
- manvanfan

Ya that's the danger. My 60 pounder of rye is getting pounded.

I’d luv to see Bieksa be the D coach. I doubt he’d give up his HNIC gig til FA fully is outta the meddling biz.

Yikes. My best buddy is like that. Easily 6 plus beers a day and over a pack of smokes. It's part of what inspired me to quit. That, and getting Pneumonia.

Smoking is the one that goes first. I quit when I couldn't buy a case of Kokanee, a pack of smokes and a bag of nacho cheese Doritos for $20. Something had to go and the $5 a pack smokes were it. I couldn't imagine paying the cost is to smoke now days
- carsonagenic

My smokes are $30-45 a carton so encourages me but it will have to end. Semi-retired & want to get back into golf & other fun things in life. Retirement hobby planning.

Smoking is more habitual I find. Do other things to fill the void. It worked for me in the past. Health & enjoying retiring is motivation now.

Helps but more so that he’s outspoken & likes to be nasty. He knows what’s needed but yes it’s a gamble.

No coaching experience and he is entertaining. I will keep Walker and Shaw. Don't need any more top jobs handed out unless they have been groomed.

I never understood the people that can't just have a few drinks. It's none or a dozen.

I like them on a summer day camping. Also had a group of buddies and back in the day we would go to Indy every year chow shrooms at 10 am and watch the race and drink beer like a fish. Good times

I'm a maintenance drinker now... I have an automatic shut off valve after 4 drinks or so.

Never a doubt
.

Loved the pick the minute it happened. When he learns what to do he is going to be a favorite.

Love the hustle, and it seems he wants to learn. Now with Green gone let him do that.

It's my fault that Necas scored.

Normally after I think about trading for a player, they tend to do improve. Roope Hintz, I was looking to trade for him. He had 6 points in 15 games. Every since then he's been on fire. 18 points in 24 games now.

I was thinking that Necas is always too far away from the Canucks net and maybe he would do better in a different system and I'd like him to play for the Canucks.

Petey and Hughes came in with natural skills . Podz is more of a junkyard dog that will continue to grow and learn. I think when he learns when to shoot and when to deke he will be a top line player.
