Yeah, tens of thousands of people died in the US every year from the flu. Since COVID, no has died from the flu in 2 years.

My friend had an auto accident recently. Not seriously injured, but shaken up he was brought to the hospital. Amogest other unnessary items, he was given a COVID test. He was told he was positive. No symptoms, no nothing. Had to go home and deal with that on top of the accident. Went to his doctor 2 days later, negative. Never had it, every time someone tests positive, someone gets paid.

I've decided not to let your attempts to bully or silence me, stop me from posting. I enjoy the exchange of ideas regarding the team. Although I must admit, I enjoy it more when you're not around.

Never the less, peace be with you.

Heres my comment on the flu. The flu is around, people get it, its not talked about the same way it wasnt really talked about before. It gets its 15 minutes of fame and we move on.

So you ask yourself, where is it now? Well. Think about the change in peoples day to day lives, think about the changes in how people approach hygiene. Everyone seems to have sanitizers, and masks, and are cleaning a lot more now then they ever did. So it shouldnt be surprising that something that has been around for 100 years, that weve been exposed to for 100 years isnt as visible.

Much talk about the delays in testing in Canada…

The Calgary Flames did COVID tests on Saturday afternoon before their game versus the Boston Bruins that evening…they got the positive tests back late Saturday night.

Bs forward Brad Marchand was in that game, now in Protocol.

Boy oh boy would I like to find the NUMEROUS posts I made about how Kreider at even strength (given the style of play) does not matter where he plays in the lineup. Because he does not elevate the guys around him, rather hes more a detriment because they have to sort of cater to him.

Hell, it was maybe just a week ago when I suggested putting LAF and Gaut with Zib when they seemed to have been clicking together despite Chytil being between them. OUTRAGE ensued.

I use the word detriment to describe Kreider but thats a very bad choice of words. His speed and board play is incredibly important to gain zones and maintain zone play. However, that can be done on any line.

Kreider also doesnt have to be on the 3rd line. They did spend significant time playing him at RW during training camp, so why not do...

LAF, Zib, Gaut
Panarin, Strome, Kreider
Hunt, Chytil, Kakko

Its not like Kakko is blowing the hinges off the doors either. Let Kreider use his speed to the corners, let Strome and Panarin do their thing and Kreider can set the screens. Gaut has a surprising first step and speed that could match with Zib. Their speed can give LAF that little bit of extra space where he can make a play.
