The more I watch, I really feel how horrible Green was as a coach, until Boudreau showed up Myers wasn't worth the money (or the top 4 biling for that matter) and now he's actually playing to his potential.
- DariusKnight

I have to admit I like Myers, but that first period was brutal for him in giveaways, I don't have any fancy stats to back that up, so maybe I'm wrong. But the whole team sucked, looked like Green was still coaching.

Once Boudreau got them into the intermission I'm sure he laid a few F bombs because the team was flying the next two periods.

This is what a competent coach can do, team is starting to find their identity, but I don't want to get to ahead of myself, let's see tougher adversity and how they respond.

Can't believe of all nights I missed the game yesterday, and on top of that I missed Nighthawk completely popping off in here

There is a reason they call him the chaos giraffe, you take the good and the bad with Myers.

You're right about Boudreau, if it was Green the team would have come out and played the exact same way until 10 mins left in the 3rd.

Pretty minor. Jersey on the ice will get the club rolling!!

- LordHumungous

After the game when asked about a jersey on the ice and how demoralizing that must be, the two players looked at each other, "there was a jersey on the ice? you see that? no you? no. Shrugged their shoulders and moved on"

They don't have a (frank)ing clue Lordy, very disinterested group, no passion in that team, two prima donnas and a bunch of scrubs.

Green was too stoopid to get out of his own way. Control freak! Only trusted vets, the kids are showing him the weaknesses in his ways.

All teams go through slumps pretty sure they'll get through it lol.

Easy to jump all over a club when they are losing like certain folks in here

Oil have some injuries and some suspect goaltending so it's up to them to get through it or let it kill the clubs chances. Power through baby!

So busy, haven’t watched a minute of hockey this week. 5 game win streak has then within another 5 game win streak of challenging for a spot on the bubble.

After 30 games:

13-15-2 = 28pts, tied for 12th in the conference (played 4 more games than Dallas)

Edmonton currently holds the second wild card spot, and are on a +/-97 point pace.

Let’s say 95 is the threshold for a chance to make the playoffs. Canucks need 67 more points in 52 games. So we need to go 30-15-7 or so the rest of the way (.644 winning % or a 105pt pace for a full season)

Myers has been impressive of late. They still need an upgrade on D, but they're playing for Boudreau.

I haven’t watched, so I can’t comment on anyones play, but our baseline for competent play has fallen so far that I would be surprised if Myers play was “impressive” and more inclined to believe it was “acceptable”.

For example, was Pettersson impressive last night? I read a few comments complaining about him but his stats look impressive…

Myers play has been improved, but I believe the reason he's getting so many props is he has been (to his credit) in the right place at the right time at least a couple times a night since Boudreau took over. A couple of solid break ups of 2 on 1s or good rushes into the zone from which he passed it off and eventually they scored.

Caught a bit of the first period but Iron Maiden took over. Going through the holy trilogy of Maiden albums right now:
