How many albums do you own? I’m pissed I got tired of packing them around and left them at my nephews in Oliver. After that no one knows where they went. - K-man25

Someone on Twitter made a good point…
#canucks twitter still bemoaning the trading of two first round picks, yet the proceeds of those trades (Garland, Miller) are arguably the two most important skaters on this team right now. How long, (if ever), until Guenther and Mukhamadullin match in value? 2025?
I hate when 1st round picks are traded but sometimes the cost is worth it.

Sitting at around 3300 CD's and maybe 1200 LP's or so? Got rid of much of my vinyl in the late 80's when the CD revolution hit and am regretting it now. Had to re-purchase a bunch too for the collection. Probably would have been closer to 2200 LP's if I had kept it all. But I hear you we just completed a move this past summer and man what a pain in the ass to pack around. But the new music room is set up an worth it. Now on the hunt for a nice guitar tube amp and electric guitar which I haven't had in awhile now. Just been playing acoustics but I am craving the tube/guitar sound of the electrics which I miss. - LordHumungous

I seen a good Tweet last night . "Can you believe we got Garland OEL and dumped Loui Roussel and Beagle for Guenther ?".

I hate them period, unless it's a trade for a superstar-type player like Eichel, Matthews, etc. it's not worth it usually. I'd rather stockpile blue chip prospects and plug them into the lineup or deal from a position of strength to fill any holes. |

Guenther and Mukhamadullin will never match the value of Garland and Miller. At least it’s extremely unlikely. Two middling prospects. I also hate trading picks but some trades you can’t pass up. 90% of Jim’s trades for picks were brutal but these two were slam dunks |

This is a recipe for failure. Those two will take time to develop and the current core will want out by then. We don't want to be forever drafting and developing, but never competing. The team right now is showing that green and baumer were the problem. |

fair point but it's also a matter of when you evaluate any trade.
those 2 have been excellent but the team has still been bad (except the last few.) so you have traded away future for present but the present is still bad. the players they would have drafted would not have had an impact thus far but so what? would the canucks be any worse?
great trades so far but what happens next year if miller is not re-signed or traded?
the point being the reasons why people (including me) didn't like (nor still like) the trades are still coming. |

7th round picks at the WJC:
4: Carolina (Guslistov, Nystrom, Pashin, and Seeley)
3: None
2: None
1: 6 teams (BUF, CBJ, DAL, FLA, PIT, WSH)
0: 25 teams
What an amazing testament to the work done by our scouting group, development staff, and especially the players themselves!

my one caveat would be when the team is a contender (or about to be). at that time, i'm more inclined to entertain offers for first rounders because the team is usually just a player or two away at that time and the first round pick should be in the bottom third of the round. |

He could turn out to be the next Kirby Dach and score 4 goals after 27 games.

Gunther sucks. At least I think he will. Definitely not a prospect I was excited about. Although I hated the Podz pick and he has turned out ok. Pods > Guenther |
