As you all know I post a daily blog here NHL betting. I follow the Canaidan teams closely.

During the Sens streak of winning of 5 of 6 games, only in the NJ game did they play the oppositions number one goalie.

TB put Vasilevsky in goal last night and he was the difference. Many teams in the NHL have been serving your team up with their back up goalie. Ottawa deserved the wins they got but I think it's important your fanbase realizes that it's far easier to tee off on the opposition's backup goaltender than the starter. If Ottawa keeps winning or pushing teams to the brink in each game, you will start to see teams taking the Sens more seriously. Therefore seeing better goaltending like last night. Just saying.

This is good. If Sens are going to be serious Cup contenders they need to play against top goaltending. Despite the loss last night, I thought it was one of the best efforts we have seen this year. Bolts are a tough team. Thought Sens played a really solid game. They are not yet ready for a leading role in prime time but there is so much to like when you look to the future.

I rarely complain about the refs but they were giving out "reputation" penalties last night. And a back to back Stanley Cup team has a way better reputation than our crew. We go hosed a couple times.

Seeing more of Mette on the ice did not make things better. He just panics.
Still a good game. We pushed the top team in the world to a 2-1 loss. I'll take it from a rebuilding team.

Um. No.

No one in front except our own guy with good chance to deflect the puck.
Rebound would have probably gone to Ottawa too.

To me, this has been an issue all season. This team is allergic from taking shots outside the faceoff circle. It’s a minor factor to Chabot only having 1 goal this year (last nights goal was a beaut).

There seems to be pressure to find the perfect play, when a shot on goal is never a bad play. Tkachuk took a shot randomly from the boards last night and nailed the post. I’d love to see a bit more variety in the offensive zone.

Play your #1 goalie, protect the house, keep puck away from Batherson, match the Sens intensity and score 2-3 goals.

I keep hearing they are going to play their top prospects and they are using this season now as development. Bernard-Docker has missed numerous in the AHL to practice with Ottawa. Yup that makes a lot of sense.

Absolutely! Well said my friend!
This whole comment about Stutzle though, the more I think about it, the more it makes no sense. Why didn't DJ play Stutzle at center in the pre-season when they lost White and Bishop? The team had no idea how Pinto was going to do as management said in the summer they thought he should spend a year in the AHL.

The best C on this team would be Batherson if Smith would play him there. He's the #1 C this organisation is looking for.
