I found an article from 2013 on the "most innovative coaches in the nhl" and this was too funny not to share:

Thatā€™s going to hurt revenue big time! Will it ever end?

Of course it will end. Science and research and modern medicine is a wonderful thing. The more people buy into it and stop resisting, the faster we can resume normalcy. Just my opinion.

I guess the cap won't be going up that 1 million that Daly said it would.

Shut down the league for 2 weeks already. Cancel All Star(if it isn't already) and condense schedule where you can.

Edit: tell players going to Olympics that the league is not pausing and will continue without them as well.

We should shut down the league until Covid cases are down to zero. We can resume our pastime in 5-10 years šŸŽ‰

It's not exclusive to just the NHL. NBA and NFL are getting hit hard too. 2 weeks across all sports could do a ton to help stop the spread. A bubble would be the next option but I doubt the players want to do that again.

That depends on what your definition of ā€œendā€ is. Influenza A & B has never ended, we just became more immune to its effects. Many people still die every year from the flu but most of the population can deal with it. I believe COVID will follow the same path. Itā€™s here to stay but will eventually lose its intensity and the majority will just deal with it as a seasonal inconvenience.

The real issue is that virusā€™ ability to mutate so rapidly. Thatā€™s what separates it from your typical virus. Scary stuff.

I should of clarified. This won't ever end. But i don't believe we will live like this forever. I think covid can and will be controlled much like all the other respiratory diseases that have come and gone and been threats to communities. I do think covid will be treated much like the flu as we gain more knowledge and experience with it.

Woke up from it at 4. Felt pretty violet for only being a 4.1
