I don’t care what they do as long as they do it after we beat the leafs on Saturday!

I imagine, If the rumors are true, it will be at 50% capacity and only double vaxxed allowed.

How often does a developed player work out instead?
- manvanfan

More than a PTO I would say. And at the very least you went with the trust of your scouting and development department.

Thanks Northy, that was good to hear the interaction between the players. All this BS narrative that there is tension between players is just absolutely comical.

Bo was trying to be a good soldier and stay loyal, EP and the others quit on Green and co.

Now Green is gone and everyone can be friends again

Green the color of the Grinch. Coincidence? I think not.

Based on the original discussion, I'm under the impression we're talking lateral moves of fringe and depth players. IE Chiasson and Cockinson. Neither of which were deemed worth keeping by their previous teams. We lost younger players of the same ilk developed within our organization that other teams clearly wanted. Just to make room for them on the fringe. We'll never know if it would've worked out but IMHO you take a shot with the younger player you developed.

It's sort of hard to argue against it when the island just broke isn't single day record for cases and omicron is confirmed to be among them. My kids aren't old enough for the Vax so I'm for anything that helps protect them.

If it’s not a “dangerous” variant then why are there more restrictions? Doesn’t make any sense to me. It primarily political at this point imo

From my understanding, it's not as dangerous, but it's substantially more transmissable than delta, which was more transmissable than the first strain of covid.

Again, with kids and immune compromised not able to get the vaccine, the point of restrictions is to not put so much strain on Healthcare employees. 750+ new cases daily in BC is going to result in more hospitalizations. Omicron, from my understanding, has hit children harder than previous variants as well.

I hadn’t heard that it was hitting kids harder: that’s no good. I’ve had a few buddies get the new strain and they described it as a mild cold. Some good news at least

20% higher rate or sending children to the hospital than other variants, which is quite substantial. South Africa is getting ravaged by omicron currently, and lots of data about hospitals and children are coming out.

The good news is, is that Pfizer is still effective at combating all these new strains.

As you all know I had the Vid bad enough to be in the hospital and I'm still not back to work on site. I'm all for everyone doing their part, (ie vaccinated, masks), But it is seeming more political for sure. Here in Alberta, Kenny came out and said that his Christmas plans would be breaking the current restrictions, so he relaxed them, which makes most happy as well. Cop 26 waived all mask mandates for a giant world wide get together that wasn't needed during a pandemic. the Olympics are not cancelled... if the elites world aren't taking this seriously.... then WTF?

Also, this falls to your pro scouting dept, which ours sucks. I thought bringing in Nichushkin a couple of years ago when he was flaming out with Dallas was a good idea... It took most NHL teams to pass on him before it worked out with the Avs. And now he is looking like a steal.

Holy Crap. Lost another 2 players to the Covid list in my pool. Seems like the Avalanche are getting hit hard along with the Panthers. They just played against eachother a few nights ago.
