Today's random thought.....
Andrew Ladd has more goals this season than Josh Bailey, Zach Parise and Kyle Palmieri combined. - JohnScammo
I didn't need to know that. |

Probably not, no. Arizona would also demand a 2022 2nd round pick. - Wildschwein
I will throw in the 2023 2nd. It still keeps the team intact and does not touch Wally or Dober. It definitely gives you a pp quarter back. It also gives the ability to move greene or chara into the pressbox. |

He did the color commentary for the Islanders maybe about 10 - 12 years ago, I don't remember exactly. He was excellent indeed! Rumor was he got canned, because the Islanders' brass didn't like his honest appraisal of the team........a team that mostly sucked under the old regime. |

Just curious. Whom would you throw into the top 6 to replace Beau? |

covid aside.... It would look like this
Lee Barzal Wally
Bailey Nelson Palmieri
Parise JGP (Czarnik/ Panick)
MM/ Johnson CC CC
Chychrun Peluch
Chara/Greene Dobson or Mayfield_Dobson
Mayfield Salo or Greene/ Chara_Salo
When Pullock is back.....
Pullock_Pelech

Lou gambled on the moves over the summer panning out. Unfortunately for the team Varly started off hurt. Still do not know if he is a 100%. Parise and Palmieri have not turned the corner yet.
The only major blunder by Lou is not replacing Leddy. |

Also, Barzal being on covid protocol sucks. No doubt. However, maybe when he comes back he will have a fire in his belly and better mindset. In maybe a blessing in disguise.

I don't think any of that is enough to land Chychrun. He'a an all-star, top pair defenseman at 23 years old with a $4.6M cap hit for this year plus three more. Not to mention the fact that Arizona has absolutely zero incentive to trade him unless they get a massive haul back.
If it comes out that he requested a trade or something then maybe all of that changes, but right now there's no reason at all for the Yotes to move him. He's literally their only star-caliber player. |

Not really sure why his name keeps popping up on here? There’s literally a zero % chance we get him. It would be a milbury’esque, career ending, trade for Armstrong. |

Lehner said his wife is flying in for this game. He talked about how important the fans were to helping him. I didn’t realize this is his first time back. He’ll likely get a nice applause. I hope anyway. |

Well there were some reports from legitimate media people that said teams, including the Isles, were calling Arizona about Chychrun.
Whether or not it was an actual trade discussion or just GM's doing their due diligence and checking to see about what the cost would be and the media running wild with it is a whole different discussion
But if I were Armstrong, I'd be asking the Islanders for something like two 1st's, Wahlstrom or Dobson, Raty, and something else. It's an absurd ask because the idea of him trading Chychrun, unprovoked, is ridiculous. It would absolutely be Milbury-esque |
