#Isles Player Update: Matt Martin and Robin Salo have been placed in COVID-19 protocol.

I don't think any of that is enough to land Chychrun. He'a an all-star, top pair defenseman at 23 years old with a $4.6M cap hit for this year plus three more. Not to mention the fact that Arizona has absolutely zero incentive to trade him unless they get a massive haul back.

If it comes out that he requested a trade or something then maybe all of that changes, but right now there's no reason at all for the Yotes to move him. He's literally their only star-caliber player.

And yes...he's a piece nearly every team in the league needs.

But there's plenty of legitimate hockey people that need interesting stories to talk about and I'm skeptical that there was much serious discussion past the tire-kicking phase.

iIf we're being realistic...why would Arizona want to trade him? It makes no sense, unless they're getting back an ungodly amount of high-end assets
