I don't think he's ever played Wing at the NHL level. Not saying he can't because look at Brendan Smith. He's also making too much to consider taking on for 3 years. - JRR1285
The sharks moved him to wing a couple seasons, actually had almost a 30 goal season there.

Those years that he was Burns was putting up crazy points he was playing wing on the PP a lot and his success there had the team use him as a forward every so often as well. - aecliptic

Had no idea, hard to find that info. I never watched him play all that much.

The specific reason I want Pavelski or Giroux is their ability to play center and wing. Both of them are winning over 55% of their draws. This now gives us someone on the PK that we can rely on to win defensive zone draws. This now gives us someone to center and lead the PP2. We can go even further and spread it out and have them play between LAF and Gaut with a rolling 3 line attack. - aecliptic
Look, I yell at the TV on all those FO lost too, I don't think having just a FO guy is the answer. Don't get me wrong, I'd love Pavs, but I'm not sure you'd want to stomach the cost. RW is a huge hole on this team too. I think if you fill that, other things would take care of itself.

I only say this because I know you are a fantasy player, thats why in Yahoo for a couple seasons you could play him anywhere in the lineup. Back in my 2nd/3rd shift days, I'd watch the late doubleheader game a bunch, and you know NBCSN put the Sharks on there a bunch

I think Nemeth has to be leaving somehow in preparation for next year. Same with Tinordi. I would say Chytil could be moved on from as well and I would not mind seeing him go the other way in a trade to upgrade the positions mentioned. - JRR1285
I think the Rangers need a top 6 RW and a 3C and they can make playoff noise. I think they will be able to get both at the deadline because they have both the available money and prospects to get it done.

Again, youre missing the point Im making here. Both of them are excellent at faceoffs and play right wing. Lets take Strome for example. On faceoffs he can line up on wing and let Pavelski take the draws, then Pavelski goes over to the right side. Pretty simple. |

Would definitely be cool to have a fantasy player that can switch from D to F. |

I wouldnt put it past them one bit to pull a Tampa/Kucherov and just wait until the playoffs to take Eichel off LTIR. |

They don't specifically say where (what line) he is playing.
But if they don't bump Laf into Panarin's spot over a player that was just benched I'm not sure what to think. |

Id think so, but again they had to decide at what cost. Theyre a playoff team again and losing some key pieces could hurt them in the long run.
Im sure the Rangers want to get Gallant's boy Reilly Smith to fill the need at RW. However, I dont think hes the type of player we need. We dont need more power forwards, we need some playmaking / facilitating players. |

Take a look at playing career:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brent_Burns - airjan23
So he basically played at forward for a season or so before moving back.
I was searching the wiki article for "wing" but didn't find it mentioned except at the beginning. I should have searched longer. |

They could use a Power RW on the bread line

So Burns?
That would make the line all right handed shots. |
