Rutherford stated that? Show me. I listened to his long interview the other day and it was a "wait and see what we have approach" he was discussing.

I love Bruce, I just don't think this roster as constructed is gonna sustain this win streak, it's why I wanna blow it up and try for Bedard next year. You aren't winning with Petey as your 1C or 1W or whatever you think he is as your star. But I know I'm in the minority here so whatever.

I think it's too early to say one way or the other, he has played the equivalent of 2.4 NHL seasons worth of games.

You also have to have a plan B either way in case he isn't what you hope he is, no team can place all their hope on one player panning out, you need depth either way.

Of course. But swinging for Bedard isn't acquiring depth, it's wasting a year of your young core in the hopes of winning the lottery. The team needs to be better ASAP, and another losing season would mean we once again become a place no players want to play.
