The first 250 games weren't enough? - manvanfan
First two years were impressive the next two not as much and this year has been less than stellar also. He is a decent 6 million dollar player , less decent 7 mil player.

.88
.61 and climbing.
Pretty steady in most years.
Even with his poop season so far that puts him 10th in RW scoring in the NHL since his first full season.
The NHL pays for scoring. Pasta at 6.66 which was an absolute sweetheart deal. Next lowest is Nylander at 6.9M AAV everyone else is getting 8 plus.
Keller below him 7.15 on long term. Meier who signed a while back at 6M

"my body, my choice"
If a pregnant female stands beside you and coughs on you, will you get pregnant?
Heard that one, I thought it was funny. |

I was gonna say the same thing. He didn’t have a great start this year but he lead the team in scoring last year and he’s had three 20+ goal seasons out of four. - LeftCoaster
Who would you move for a defenseman a winger, or your top 2 centremen? |

That’s kind of an open ended question. It depends on who it was (acquiring), what the other team wants, etc. however….because of his age and impending contract expiration, I’d trade Miller. |

Twenty goal scorers being paid 7 mil in a cap flat era is too high.

You’re right, however, I think the team has bigger issues than what Boeser gives the team. If he’s moved for a good young dman, great, personally I’d move Miller though because he’s gonna cost you more imo. Plus he’s older. |

Funny, nobody ever seems to complain that OEL is getting 7.2 mil for his 5 points this year.

I totally understand your argument, but trading away your 1st line centre because he will be 30 years old, might not be the right thing to do, especially with no replacement in sight.
A 5 year deal at 7 or so would be acceptable, for a team that is obviously not trying to rebuild and is trying to be a competitive playoff team.
Kopitar, Bergeron etc are producing well into their 30's and I would expect Miller to do the same.
Boeser or Hoglander might be the most expendable pieces( not that I am advocating for that), as it was either Boudreau or Rutherford who were openly optimistic about the Canucks because they had 3 strong centres, Miller, Horvat and Pouty. |

He is also the teams best forward. I am not disagreeing with anything but I think with the new coaching and new management I would wait longer to see more results. It is clear to see players becoming instantly better under a new coach.
I remember the look Boeser gave Green a few games ago , he shook his head as if asking is this guy for real.
Time to find out who is really the core of this team.

Why would anyone complain about a defenseman that can play 25+ minutes a game against top players? |

For me it’s about what Rutherford said, getting the ages aligned for when the teams ready to be competitive. Miller or Boeser….really depends on a lot of things. |

I would think if they move Miller it would be in the off-season or at the next TDL, moving Boeser may have to be done beforehand, if he expects 7.5 million(his QO), although he may sign something for less. |

Like I just said to Reuby, long term I want the stars to align, Millers a better player right now and he can play center, however, he’s older and I’m not sure if he’ll re-sign, even if he did it’s gonna cost you. |

From what I can gather based on my experiences here, most of the time it's wage. |

Just like how a guy who scores at .80 ppg over his career is already being traded because of wage.
Plus why Miller is being traded, his wage will be too much. |
