Other option is no trade with cap spaced gained next year & live with the old roster. What UFA D would replace OEL 7.26m? No Garland at 4.9m. 12m in total in the UFA market to spend for who & must be better than OEL & Elf?

Depends on a lot of things, I have no idea. How competitive do you think Rutherford thinks the team is? Do you think Rutherford thinks the team will compete for a Cup before Millers contract is up and he’ll re-sign for a decent number? These things aren’t about “right now” they’re about the future.

I dismiss it as JB’s 1st draft & a meddling owner. It was a big whiff as it has turned out. Demko was redemption. Character & attitude went by the wayside which is high priority for 1sts in my world.
