I don't disagree, it's better than him doing nothing. Just not getting my hopes up until I see him in the A. Older player lighting it up in juniors is a tale as old as time.

i mean he turned 19 in september.

I think where I was going with this is we seem to have done better with picks not in the 1st round than in it.

Yeah it's 20. 19 doesn't set off the alarm bells a true overager would, but still a decent physical advantage.

Obviously I hope for the best, we need centers badly. Karl Henriksson looks like a dud now. That's someone I was hoping (and thought) would pan out for us.

I haven't kept tabs on Tarnstrom, I know Karl isn't really showing much growth in the SEL. I'd like him to come over here as well and see what he can do on NA ice.

Trading a 3rd for knowing exactly what we're getting was huge. Some people panned that "waste" of a pick and extension. I think it worked out pretty well so far.

If we had to compare the VGK / BUF trade it would be...

Schneider, Chytil, Gauthier, a 1st and a 3rd for Chychrun. Not worth it imo.
