Gentlemen, allow me to kneel in submission, and accept my punishment for not being on in…5-ever. Was on a 2-week work trip, son’s in Army Basic Training, in-law’s health deteriorating….blah blah LIFE.
Firstly, my hopes & prayers that all of you had a CHRISTmas filled with reverence & remembrance of what this Holiday is truly about; birth, our Lord, humanity (you guys have that down to a science, gentlemen all of you). Secondly, my wishes for health, peace, serenity, and nets full of pucks in the New Year.
Whilst I know THANKSgiving was last month, I’m thankful and humbled that Jeremy continues to contribute as his health allows. Seeing his determination to bring a bit of solace in troubled times truly amazes me, and you guys as well. So, JEREMY: Peace be with you. I listened to some of your music the other day….calming sounds in tumultuous times. Your music and your words, despite your struggles, brings me peace. Thank you, my friend. I pray that you find a new normal that allows you some respite and calm. Whilst you need not be reminded; place your faith, pain, and reverence in God’s hands. Follow his path, allow him to bear your burdens. He will carry you and lead you to a place of calm and healing. During these troubled times, He is our rock, He will guide us. And He will give you that peace. Again, I cannot thank you enough for what you’ve given us; you’ll never understand how truly impactful your story has been on me & Family with whom I share your story. Your light shines brightly, shine on, my friend.
Now, my back remains strong, but I must remind ALL of you that men are directed in the bible to bring our wives coffee. Don’t believe me??? Does it not say, in the bible: He brews?!?!?!? (My wife said it and my priest WHOLLY agreed…as did his wife, sooooo). Brew on lads. Brew. On!!!
Am in the backwoods of WV were mail is delivered via Pony Express and WiFi is some sort of mystical “space-magic”. Seriously, no WiFi, and cell reception remains in the realm of -5G, so having a brief moment of coverage is like the sun’s rays after a Michigan blizzard! In-law’s are moving into a senior’s facility, so packing up the farm & moving 37 years of memories has taken a toll on my wife & her siblings. But it reminds me of what’s important: Friends, Family (in all the various permutations…), respect, togetherness, support. Things we so dearly desire in troubled times. May peace, togetherness and joy find each of you this New Year (I know I said it above, but nostalgia forces re-emphasizing it….).
