i think the problem that's surfacing, again from what i've red and seen, is that the delta variant still has a firm grip on the populace...those who are not vaccinated are ending up hospitalized and you're finding a lot of that taking place in red states (not all, but mostly)...

as for your last point, people hear what they want to hear regardless of how long they've been hearing a message...50 million unvaccinated...they're not fed up with the message, they've totally disregarded it from the get-go

I was very much pro-vacc at first.

Now im, its not as effective as we were told something aint right, do what you feel is right for you.

I know more people who are not getting shot 3 than who have not gotten the shot.

my wife got the johnson and johnson and even though she had covid she decided to get the pfizer booster for some protection on newer strains

I had 2 issues with the vaccine, or rather the vaccine narrative from the get-go:

1. This was never a true vaccine in that it was going to prevent contraction of the disease. It's essentially the flu shot in that it's supposed to mitigate the symptoms if one gets it. That's what essentially made the "mandate" ridiculous. Nobody mandates the flu shot. There are mandates for true vaccines.

2. They took a "one size fits all" approach with this. The fact of the matter is there are certain people who benefit from this thing and certain people who it does nothing for, but nobody wants to acknowledge that publicly.

yeah...the flu kills 800,000 americans and causes icu's to overflow with patients when at it's peak...

doctors and nurses have no choice in treating those "pro-choice" people who don't believe vaccines work...if those in the public want to be "free" to choose, than be free to reject treatment when you contract the virus and can't breathe...

Totally Disregarded from the get go..... Some have, others have totally “regarded” it, and all the mixed messages that come with it, and decided they don’t want it. There are those that are healthy who see 98% survival rate and decide they will be ok without it. Some have had covid and trust their natural antibodies to do their thing and protect them. Still others live in small towns, and work jobs where distancing is rather easily practiced. Others see that this has all become a political game, and just aren’t going to play along. Perhaps they need to stop using the word “vaccine”, because this shot isn’t one. People gotta run back for “boosters” every few months, they may feel they’ve been misled about this “vaccine”.
