I do agree but pot it self does not kill unlike cigarettes or alcohol.

if it was 98% mostly unvaccinated then sure, but its more like 60/40 and that rate is declining.
So yes "Most" is true, but in this sense its not entirely accurate. - ImThatGuy
even at 60%, which is low imo, nearly every one of those could be prevented...and that's the point...
my wife's story is a good one...she's a smoker, above 50 and got the shot...a week later she contracted covid and was laid up for a week with the worst flu she'd ever had...am of the strong opinion that had she not been vaccinated, she'd have ended up in the hospital or probably died...
side note, it's a fickle virus...i tested negative

Part of the problem is that people expect the information to be cut and dried, that it can't change, and when it does change or gets altered on the fly, it's "OH, SEE! THEY'RE LYING!!!", like pandemics happen every day. - Powerslave
sure, there is some truth to this yes.
But the vaccine was touted as this savior and it was going to end the pandemic.
Its done nothing even remotely close.
IF the vaccine is working so well, why are we still shut down and under mandates is a very valid question. |

Just surprised given the result of a quick stop last time, where teams didn't have similar games played. Letting some teams get ahead by a half dozen games seems like it could factor into competitiveness later in the year. - RhinoFan
they have all of february to slot in games and even out the schedule |

Agreed, but the other half of that problem is that when the experts are talking, they talk with conviction and absolutism like it can't change. Maybe if (insert expert here who you may or may not disagree with) didn't walk to a mic like he had the biggest Richard in the room (planet) and say this is how it is, instead of this is a fluid situation and we'll update asap, there wouldn't be that. On the flip side to this, other people would then scream "you weak bro" at that person.

I am suppose to go on a norwegian cruise in 13 days
The ship is already docked and empty and will remail empty until our cruise
all crew members must be vaccinated as well as guests
guests need negative test before embarkment
In the last 24 hours they decided to revert back to mask wearing in all commons area unless eating, drinking, or smoking
also shut down the sports complex on the ship
seems strange to go backwards when everyone has had the shot and a negative test |

I watched the high lights and some game footage on YouTube from the Bills game against Carolina and it seemed like the receivers were having a hard time getting open. Is that the case? |

And the flip side of that is their coming out with that info prematurely, before testing is thoroughly done. Science doesn’t take the first result as gospel, you test incessantly to prove (or disprove) the hypothesis.
Things seeming to be rushed, while the government is grasping for straws doesn’t inspire the citizens’ confidence in their “solutions”. Especially when they establish rules for society, and then they turn around and personally ignore these rules they expect others to follow. |

This virus has nothing to do with science, even though science may have created it. It has everything to do with money. Plain and simple. |

You want a wishy-washy answer or do you want someone who speaks with conviction?
Intelligent people should already assume that the answers are going to change at some point, and that it IS fluid, and that no one on earth was alive during the last major pandemic.
It's a stubbornness thing, imo. They're just looking for ANYTHING to b!tch about at that point, on both sides.
Politicizing a (frank)ing pandemic is just ridiculous. It's about people's LIVES. |

Mmhmm.
I work for a pretty large health system (not frontline, finance) and we've been home since we saw the delta spike. I'm an extreme introvert anyways, so I don't mind, but I basically see my family and that's pretty much it. Maybe friends at a house for some beers every other week or something. Here in SD we never really had "mandates" and while our census was high, we never were in danger of not being able to provide care for any ailments (did close down elective surgeries for 8ish months). I don't plan on doing any huge get togethers for reasons of I don't want to wear a mask for 16 hours a day, and thankfully since I work from home obviously no mask (plus hang out with the pooch, win/win) |

Honest question. Do you have a link or a quote from someone in charge where they said that the vaccine was going to eradicate it? If they said it, shame on them.
My understanding of it was that, after vaccination, you could still get it but it was to help prevent SEVERE ILLNESS, which it seems to be doing. |

This is a very good post.
Wonder how the trade deadline factors in differently between teams? Competitive disadvantages for sure.
Someone could play 88 games. 82 + 6 extra.
Having 12 games left instead of 18 would be interesting on a salary basis too...

Without making it political, I want the truth. And the truth is, no one knows. I'm not female doging about it, and made it in my original post that it's a no win for the people speaking. It just SEEMS that they have been more wrongish then rightish when giving these answers, it fuels the side of people female doging. That's all. |
