I find the more a person complains about their freedoms being taken away (or restricted, compromised, curtailed, etc), the less likely that person will admit that we all have responsibilities to each other as a society.

And the louder they moan about their rights, they ignore their responsibilities even more.

Covid is not a me-only or me-first issue. Covid, unlike obesity, cancer, or alcoholism, can be transmitted to the person next to you or brought home to a family member who may have serious long-term health consequences as a result, even if you don't get sick.

At what point do you take a step back and admit you have been lied to again and again by those very institutions that were meant to protect the people. I think a ton of people that took the vaccine truly deep down know this but they do not want to admit it and just continue to triple down on convincing themselves they are “doing right by society.”

I knew it would happen but it’s absolutely bananas now to witness the boostered turning on the 2 shot folks. It’s mass psychosis at this point that has been incredibly crafted by Big Pharma and the media.

Redneck factor could be noted by the fact that the coasts generally have a higher vax rate than the middle.

why does everything have to be black and white, right or wrong. Sometimes we say things that are true at that time that turn out not to be true days, months years later. We live in an ever evolving world.

Olivier Nadeau – LW/RW – Shawinigan Cataractes (Buffalo Sabres)

The 6’ 2” 198lb winger continues to impress with his vision and skills as a passer and playmaker. After hearing his name in the 97th place (4th round), a little before his good childhood friend and former teammate Joshua Roy, the young man from Lac-Etchemin had his first experience with the Buffalo Sabres. He continues to have progress with his skating, which has always been his biggest question mark. There has also been an evolution and improvement in his shot, which is much stronger and powerful than in the past. A good size player who isn't afraid of getting his nose dirty in traffic and capable of being a playmaker, the Sabres have definitely made a good bet with the Cataractes player. He is currently in seventh place in QMJHL scorers with 45 points in 30 games (17 goals and 28 assists). His intelligence in his game makes him a good reliable player in defensive situations as well

Im still looking for an actual answer to

If the vaccine works, and I have it, while am i still being mandated to wear a mask everywhere. Why am i being told its too risky to get together for the holidays and that increased deaths will happen because of it.

Why am I being threatened with shutdowns if things get any worse,

Either vaccine works and we are fine and we can move on, or they don't and we are in trouble.

These two things cant co-exist.

Both should retire now if that’s the case. It’s not worth it.

Likely a concussion though it could be neck related. It's definitely his upper.

KA said he's progressing and they might carry 3 goalies this year

Yup as long as it is a civil conversation, it certainly has it's place especially since it is causing NHL games to be cancelled.

But I guess calling it the China virus or comparing COVID to the Holocaust is okay? Saying not to buy Chinese products and that they've killed double the people the Nazis did?

When it comes out that the US Military did this, I can't wait for the hot takes.

Other than a few posts I have no issue with them discussing this.

However just like sports people have their opinions and will stick to them no matter what evidence you show them.

Like I said as long as the name calling stays out of it and it stays civil it's a valid topic to discuss (within reason)

- Stripes77

Stripes you know this conversation will ALWAYS spiral out of control. Especially with some of the guys we have posting here.

What bothers me is that for the past 5 or 6 years, any conservative rhetoric is wickedly defended and allowed multiple chances to back down, while any liberal rhetoric is met with a quick and swift ban.

COVID is affecting sports now so you're allowing it?

It's been affecting it THE ENTIRE TIME.

And here's America, 2 years into this crap, acting like they just woke up to the news today.
