The NHL shut down is really good news for the Flyers and Flyers management. Hopefully this team can get more of its injured players back after the resumption of play.

That way, Fletcher can finally evaluate the current team and make the appropriate decisions. Resources can be allocated correctly as this team gears up for this year's run.

Politics is affecting hockey

I despise this fact, but it is regrettably true. Regardless of what side of the political spectrum anyone is on, I think we are all SICK AND TIRED of this covid nonsense. It's not going away, ever. So time to just live life and move on. Stop listening to the panic porn and ignore the tyrants that think they can run everyone's lives when they cannot. The major sports leagues just have to accept this as any other illness, as they always have with the flu, and move on with their sports and we move on with our lives. Take the vax, fine. Don't take the vax, fine. I don't give a frank. For 2 years, every single person has had their lives uselessly disrupted by the this mess, and by default it has infested every aspect of life including the daily whining about the decade-long middling of our favorite Flyers team and our favorite sport.

Anyone else notice that the Flyers defenseman, especially Sanhiem have been far more aggressive offensively under Yeo versus Vigneault.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I hope that you and your family can find some happiness and peace during the holiday season. Tough time when you have loss and many are in the same position including myself.

MJL... you're back! Did you get out of HB jail today?

BTW... Tomahawk spilled the beans and told everyone you're a cyborg.

I just want everyone safe. I don't care what political party you support. The fact that America as a country can't even come together as a people during a pandemic that has killed 800+K Americans disgusts me.

Yep, Sanhiem looks really good when is comes into the O zone with speed. RR is good in deep also. I think AV was still the coach when i noticed travis do it the first time effectively , but he is doing it more now.

Flyers should have a MASH unit follow them everywhere. It seems that every prospect we have, and many vets, are made of crystal.

That’s all well and fine but when the government takes step that negatively impacts millions and millions of people that’s the issue. We have been vaccinated, we wear the masks, let us move on with our lives for Fs sake

Oh... and we were wondering if you and PT21 were in the same HB jail cell with one another. But then he came back with a phony name and avatar and got caught. He may have been moved to permanent solitary confinement.

Always a good question. I thought you brought up a great point the other day about corned beef hash. A couple of fried eggs on top, a few shakes of hot sauce, and rye toast on the side. Hard to beat for breakfast.
- Dkos

I prefer the hash on top of the eggs. I also sometimes like the eggs made other ways.

My favourite is waffle-iron eggs (sort of like a frittata). My waffling iron flips on it's hinge (not in its center like the ones in hotel breakfast areas) so you can turn the contents over once you pour in the eggs (or waffle batter) so they cook firm in less time it takes in a frying pan. And the dimples/cavities created by the iron's nubs help to keep on whatever I like to put on top, including the hash (just like with waffles).

It also works with unscrambled fried eggs. I like over-hard, so I just keep the iron open after I drop the eggs on one side, and the nubs keep the yolk raised while the white begins to firm. Then I leave a little gap when I flip so as not to break the yolk, and let it finish on the other side. Much easier than flipping in a frying pan. For over-hard, I just do the same except close the iron completely for the flip. The nubs under the yolk slightly breaks the yolk (like you should do with a fork when made in a frying pan). But once flipped, the slightly broken yolk begins to firm so fast that it doesn't have time to spread. There are dimples from the nubs, but that just helps to hold the little bit of butter I like to put on after they're done.

No matter how I use it for eggs, cooking with the waffle iron requires skilled timing, as there is no heat adjustment and it cooks at a high temperature. But that also makes it more convenient. Once I sussed-out how long it takes and never going over that, it's much faster than on a pan over my range top. And I can make the eggs anywhere I can plug in the iron.
