John is correct. There was one guy that said shoulder injuries don't heal right. He also said that Tank would be trash and the first hit he took would end his career (something like that). He also said Tank wouldn't score 30 goals (don't remember what the exact number was) in a season. But he was the only one. - Isleshockeyman
Yea there was plenty of talk about his shoulder issues and whether or not they were fixed for good or would come around again...but even if one guy said he was trash that hardly equates to "most of us peeps" saying he was trash |

I would’ve taken him. Stated as such. With that said I wasn’t giving up a first, Beau, and Bolduc for him. |

Well that was the problem at the time. I'm still hesitant to lose Beau in a trade because he's so versatile, but I'm not so confident he'll ever be more than a 20g-50pt kinda player (at best) and we need more scoring badly so I'm starting to warm up to the idea of moving him in the right deal.
I would've taken Tarasenko for sure, but it was too risky at the time to pay whatever Army was likely asking for. Now it looks a little safer 31 games into the season, but that also probably means that (at best) Army is still gonna be looking for a lot for him. |

I don’t hate Beau but I’m far from enamored with him as some are on here even before he lost some luster this season. I had zero issue moving him I have more of a problem with moving that first. The only way I move our first this year is in a package for a young, established player that we get some longevity out of. |

We'll have to see where the first is at come the end of the season. I don't think it'd be smart to move that pick mid-year unless it had some pretty strong protections on it. It'd suck a whole lot to trade the pick, bottom out, and have lost a top-5 or top-10 pick. Obviously the caliber of the player plays a role in the whole thing....but still risky. |

Of course if we’re in playoff position all bets are off with that pick. Lameriello will do anything to win the cup this season. That much I know. If there is even a small chance of it he’ll be throwing anything and everything at this team to make it happen. |

I believe that was Hockeyslife who also wanted Barry fired and was serious about it. He left because Cpt. was mean to him. |

Oh look you are bringing up old sht again (that isn't true) like my wife.
maybe you should reread my posts.. .never said to fire either of them but you can certainly criticize them and their moves without saying "Fire them" ..
Parise is a disaster, Chara is a disaster, Palmieri is a disaster.... While Eberle and Toews are lighting it up eslewhere... pointing that out doesn't mean I want Lou fired.. it means he fcked up and I can call him on it. - niteislander
Dude the whole post picking apart the Toews trade and recent signings, not to mention Eberle not being protected. Like you knew that this bad start to the season would happen is such BS. Did you also know they would have a stretch where they played with 1/2 their BP team due to covid? Not to mention injuries to Nelson and Pulock?
This is a beauty, "This team has Toews last year they win the cup...
if they played Wahlstrom they win the cup.. Like I said Come on man, please. Its just stupid.
PS you might want to listen to your wife more |

Anyone that says they knew Ebs would light it up with Seattle is full of reindeer sh!t. When Ebs was here he was a streaky scorer at best. If he wasn't he would still be here. Stop making like Lou gave away McDavid or Crosby.
My issue has always been Toews. You knew he was a top 4 guy and you knew the upside was there. The problem was no one wanted Leddy for what Lou was looking for.

Agee obviously however, The Islanders did well last year without Toews honestly, even though I heard somewhere they would have won the cup with him. |
