#Isles  vs. Red Wings on Wednesday night at UBS Arena and vs. Sabres on Thursday night at home still a go.

Great another depleted lineup game. This team can’t catch a (frank)ing break.

Just think of all the fun we would have had if JHS was still around.

I love that USA is kinda being given no chance by Canada media. It's been my experience that the U.S. teams and players are usually a bit under rated in these tournaments. hoping they show everyone how wrong they are about this team.

I would have to agree with this speculation. Especially since the NHL is not going to the Olympics. The have that period to fall back on to make up games.

It will be fun to see who makes the USA Olympics team. I am guessing at least a couple of kids playing in this tournament have a shot.. as do a lot of AHL and college kids. It will be fun to watch.

Maybe these politicians Bruce Blakeman should be concentrating more on how to figure out to lower peoples taxes then spouting off before evening entering office.

"This is a state operation. If this was the Town of Hempstead that controlled it, this town board would never let the Islanders move in and open that arena without a parking garage being open. I think the state did a real injustice to the people of Elmont.""
- Bruce Blakeman

Yet while he criticizes the New York Islanders publicly. He like all other politicians will have his hand out. The positive impact of this arena for outweighs the negative.

- Nfdbulldawg

Just a political hand job for the people of Elmont. He can spout off all he wants but there's nothing he can do about it. And he knows it too.

They should send the WJC teams and continue to do so going forward.

The D (minus Pulock obviously) is healthy and Barzal is back.

They got this.

The Red Wings have 10 guys in the protocol. There's no way this game gets played.

They will be missing five forwards one of them being Wahlstrom. You thought we couldn’t score before…

I personally prefer it not being NHL players. I remember watching the 1980 Olympics. I can still remember what I was doing when Team USA played the Russians. I did not sit much in the 3rd period. Being the underdog made that win so sweet. Does anyone remember who they beat for the gold that year.

What’s going on with Pulock? Would think he has to be close to returning he’s at the end of 6 weeks on a supposed 4-6 week recovery…

Saw something over the weekend that he had started skating on his own. I do not believe he has skated with team yet. Probably another week or so.

Well the one good thing about players hitting protocol and being asymptomatic, is that any little lingering issues/injuries will have time to heal.

If the NHL is going to stick to their protocols for Covid just cancel the season already. If they change them then there’s a chance of salvaging it but if you’re going to have asymptomatic players not playing they’ll be playing a full, 82 game season, till October of next year with these present and future postponements. This is quickly becoming a joke. Logistically there’s no way it’s going to work out.

Bingo. The other problem is Canada and their restrictions. The Canadian teams have to adhere to their rules. Either cancel the season or FINALLY realize we have to live with this thing and move on and mitigate it the best you can. The NHL and politicians continue to double down on stupidity and there’s all too many people that go along with it…
