Jazzmaster, I believe. When they came out they were supposed to be an upgrade to the Stratocaster. The Jaguar came later, and is based on the Jazzmaster (I think Leo was attempting to fix some of the shortcomings of the Jazzmaster with the Jaguar).
Here is a comparison of two vintage examples (versus reissues):
https://guitar.com/review...-vs-1966-jaguar-shootout/
Do a quick "versus" search and you'll probably also come up with some vids too. |

I would have thought you to particularly be a Gibson SG guy. Especially a particular version with special tell-tale fretboard inlays:
But many guitarists like having an array of different makes and models (and vintage and versions of the same model). It's all about using the right tool for the job. poop, even same models made to the same specification but on different date would each have their own sound, to a certain extent. That's why it's important to test drive each one. And then you can still play with the sound with modifications. |

Poor dude. Lifelong mental health issues (bipolar and schizophrenic) and he was apparently in the midst of turning his life around after he got out of prison a few years back. Gotta wonder if the difficulties during the pandemic (limited/lack-of access to mental healthcare) contributed to the end of that turnaround.
Let's remember him for what he was best known for and proud of, so I replaced the photo Kick has used for something with which to do that.
If anyone you know is having suicidal thoughts, help can be found: Contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741, or the Lifeline Chat at https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/chat/.

You never know, it may help someone after all. Then again, maybe you'll never know, and I'll sincerely be glad that you won't ever have to. But thanks for letting us know how you really feel about it.

I'm perfectly loose, and have more fun than I'll ever let on here. I plan on continuing that. I don't give a (frank) what anybody thinks about me. Don't you think that if I did, I would let them know?
I have no problem whatsoever with the picture you posted. (It's also in the news article that notified me.) I'm genuinely sorry I didn't make that more clear in my earlier post, but I assumed I didn't need to do that. I also don't have a problem with (frank)ing around about famous dead people, no matter the nature of their deaths.
But you're follow-up to that earlier post did warrant my reply to that post yours. And I'll just leave it at that, thank you. |
