Got a lot of skill for such a big guy. Trading Petey for any single prospect is stupid though imo. Bedard doesn’t look undersized at all, can’t remember who was saying he was 5’9 but that’s clearly wrong

There is a definite divide on this forum of Petey's skills and value. I think he is going to waste this years contract. I think it will be a bit of a process to get back to where he started from.

I know he has a few points in the last few games but he is doing very little on the ice IMO. He is playing no where near the value of his contract (again my opinion only).

He has 37 points in 57 games in the last two seasons and for all the PP time and top line minutes he has played that is not outstanding. It definitely is not worth 7 mil plus.

I’ll agree he isn’t playing for value. For a smart player he’s behind the pace & his new twig certainly sucks. Flakey type players fix what isn’t broken instead of fix what is wrong in their game. For him it’s his compete & confidence. I put both of those on the player. They get away from the details & it’s the small things that can matter most.

If Petey is as advertised he makes other players better. Right now he’s being carried & getting prime TOI.

ELC’s are what they are. Valuations for 7m+ is easily more critical to debate. He isn’t doing it.

I think that’s more like the return i have in mind for sure, also Petey has been a hell of lot better than Nedved was those first couple years
