NEW: The "John Doe 2" lawsuit against the Blackhawks was dismissed in court last Wednesday.

Doe 2 is the Michigan high school student Brad Aldrich assaulted in 2013.

Both Doe 2's lawyer, Susan Loggans, and the Hawks declined to comment. Unclear if the case was settled or not.

Trying to decide if this case had less or more of a chance in court than Beach's. I think more given age of victim. But, the plaintiff's attorney might have misfired by not trying to get this settled before the court ruled. Maybe they did settle before, but if not, can't imagine the amount will be as high if it was done after this ruling.

Estimated recovery time is 3 months. Being that less is known regarding it's efficacy in pro athletes than the more common fusion procedure, there are likely some unknowns regarding when they actually return.

Eichel has started skating, but who knows when he might actually be ready.

OK - the plaintiff's media mouthpiece has confirmed that the Hawks did indeed settle with John Doe 2 and they subsequently withdrew their lawsuit.

Good to know that both victims have received something acceptable to them and all parties can move forward.
