Big Ben is a player Trotz would highly covet, especially after what he displayed in the playoffs a few months ago. He can log huge minutes, is physical, can be plugged up and down the lineup if need be and is strong in his own end. Montreal can retain his salary to get a juicier return. Islanders have not had great success at keeping the puck out of their own net this year, Ben would be a welcome addition.

I really don't get the allure of Chiarot. Yeah, he stepped up for MTL, but he's not a true #1 pairing dman. He's a solid 2nd pairing dman and would be a solid get for a playoff team needing to shore up their D, but to a team trying to a salvage the season? He's a waste of assets.
