I admit that I like what Schenn has brought and don't miss Hamonic at all. I also like that Burroughs is on a cap friendly contract. Both players are decent third pairing guys on a very good contract. Since the coaching change the D looks a lot more organized and the goal differential is getting a lot better.

I still have not made a decision on Poolman yet so maybe it is not a must change at this moment. I still think the team needs a third pairing LHD.

Agree on Schenn, he’s been serviceable. Poolman seems like a replacement level guy to me, won’t hurt you but easily replaced by someone cheaper and you wouldn’t notice.

Hamonic is tough to judge, he’s played like what? 30-40 games as a Canuck? Frustrating.

I wouldn't go to extremes like playing him 20 games straight but they just had a week off and there is going to be more postponed games in the sched and not too far down the road either so I'd play him tonight... no worries at all.

Halak hasn't been great but you have to get him in games to at least let him work his way out of it. Even if the streak ends, it's not the end of the world. Like Boudreau said, it's about winning weeks. Doesn't have to be all or nothing.

I feel like the team finally worked their way to the point where winning weeks has some real meaning. We're far better off if Halak gets some momentum going. That doesn't happen on the bench.
