The GM is too stupid to realize this team isnt any good. He will double down and trade away assets for crappy vets. I Have zero doubt that is the path he chooses unless they are just buried.

Anyone who watched Kevin Hayes play with any regularity knew this was going to be a disaster. Saw a great number of his games with the Rangers and the Hayes we got was the Hayes the Rags didnt want. Guy would look like a star in the making 1 game every 3-4 weeks but the rest of the time was invisible. His one asset was he was a great PK guy and that was it. The Rags were desperate for a 2C but even they realized he wasnt it. They traded Hayes for a 1st rd pick and traded that pick for Trouba and here we are stuck with Hayes for 5 more years. Lots of rumors about him in NY that I wont get into but this is going to be another albatross contract we carry for years

I liked some of his moves in the summer, but they do not equate to changing this teams direction which was the point. This BS about waiting to see what we have after we get healthy? Is just more excuses from a GM that is proving to be as underwhelming as the last guy.

It’s embarrassing that he see’s the ice every night with the way he’s played. For a team to put an individuals record (that had no previous ties to the team) over what’s best for this year is unconscionable. The record is somewhat diminished when you consider the player he is passing…a guy that not only stayed healthy but DESERVED to be in the lineup every night.

Glad I didn't watch!! Guess Giroux is everyone's hero cause he had a half decent game. He is a third line center at best on most teams these days, but on this sad sack team he ranks as the best with coots hurt. Talk about no depth. It's painful watching Hayes skate....talk about a turtle on skates. Four more years of this crap from him!! Joy to the world!!

This I agree with. Fletcher was brought into take the team forward. He wasn’t brought in for a burn down. I’m not sure he survives if they are forced to go in a more rebuild mold.
