A second 1st might help you move up a few spots but I doubt two late 1st get you into the top 10. We do have a ton of trade capital in our young potential especially at foward. Might be able to get back in by moving one of those and a 1st. Kevin adams definitely has options. - joshs

The Flyers under AV were even more inexplicable. He didn't play Risto at all on the PP. I haven't checked since Yeo took the helm |

Has there ever been a game that demonstrates more ably why we need to have a world class dome? If that game is played in a dome Josh Allen throws for 450 yd and takes 2 hits.
Suck the downstate liberal dry and get a 2 billion dollar dome built. Burn the renderings and fire the company that drew them that were put out on the internet. Three pieces of poop.
Call the firm that built Sofi and have them build you a dome to be proud of. |

19.9 minutes on the powerplay for Risto is inexplicable. If you spend the 1st to get him, you put him on the PP. That's who he is - Hank Balling
He's like physically dominant OL with awful feet and hands. Some OL coach is always convinced they make him Wil Wolford |

They have to find some way to justify Yandle being in the lineup nightly. The PP is the only place he has a chance to be useful. |

It's a very interesting question.
NHL Draft Value Charts would suggest 2 later 1st picks would equate to somewhere around 8 - 12; depending on the specific draft position.
- 31 & 32 = 12
- 25 & 26 = 8
- 21 & 29 = 7 / 8
I posted the other day that Adam's has interesting decisions at C with Cozens, Krebs, Tage, Mitts look like 2 & 3 C's to me....obviously way, way too early to be definitive...but it doesn't look like any are sure fire 1C's.
If the Sabres finished with #4 in the Draft (after the lottery), that pick and 1 of the later 1sts would be the same relative value as #2.
Not sure what Asplund or Mitts plus a late 1st would be valued at?...should be in that 5 to 8 range I would think.
Interesting to think about.
Edit:
With all the trade experience Adam's and team have now, I'd love to see them pull off a couple trades like mentioned above...
- Their 1st and late 1st for #2-OA
- Mitts and late 1st for like 7
Draft
-Savoie at 2
-the BPA at RW or RhD |

I’d rather trade the FLA/VGK firsts for established roster players.

Yes, the NE game. The weather was a non-factor today. Allen had some drops, a bunch of throwaways, and some bad luck on all three INTs. |

Why waste assets when you can color inside the lines via FA?

i don't think nhl value charts are quite as valuable as they are in the nfl...
in this scenario, there's no way i give up a top-10 pick for two picks in the lower third of the round...for instance, using sportsnet as a guidepost here's your 8-10 rated prospects with the average draft slotting, minus the highest and lowest, from elite prospects group of rankings:
Jiricek--wjc 10.1
slavkovsky--wjc 7.2
geekie--wjc 9.3
21-32 picks don't have that kind of consistent pedigree |
