You think Tippett is up to the challenge? Their entire system is build around two incredibly talented players. Who’s going to step up?

In all seriousness, I have to wonder if he ever plays another game after that injury.

If he does, that contract might turn out better than OEL's.

I think so. Tippett has worked through injuries and adversity before. Just needs a goalie to make a bloody save lol. Why they went back to Smith and Koskinen when Skinner appeared to be playing so well was a mystery. Normally Tippett would go with the hot hand but Smith and Koskinen are getting paid lol

Now if more players test positive this could be a pretty crappy for the team to have to climb out of this free fall. I look at the Nucks 4-6 weeks ago we were 3 points away from 31st spot. Now in a position to make a run at the WC. Oilers can turn it around with the talent they have but it's gonna be a climb. Adversity is good however...build character and leadership qualities which the Oilers need especially if they expect to challenge in the PO's...if they make it lol.

I am still okay with OEL. The salary is an issue by 2 mil but I like what the team is doing on D now that they have a different coach. The goals for/against have changed drastically since the change.

I am impressed overall with the number of shots against and goals against in the last 8 games.

Out to lunch bro, 2 players have talent, 21 suck rats balls. And Reeves stripping McDinglenuts of the puck should never happen but McDumbass has given up on the team, best thing that has happened is contracting Covid keeps him off the ice.

I haven't had a problem with what OEL has brought either. Just as you say not at this current price.

Canucks don't really have a player to take over his role right now anyways.

I figure OEL is here for at least another year.

Oh ref I don't know about that. Hyman, Hopkins, Yamamoto, Pullyerjaarvi, all pretty good too.

Bouchard Nurse Barrie and when Keith and Russell were very healthy all looked rosy. They do miss Klefbom to be sure. Like most clubs their bottom 6 needs to be called out and really a goalie that can make ONE timely save. Just like the Nucks in here it's easy to jump all over a club when they are 2-8...but with the right ingredients can turn it around. It's mid season and maybe not time to go full panic yet but moves should get made in EDM. If this slump was closer to the end of March look out but there is plenty of time to maintain a PO spot in the standings. See where it goes...

Oilers needs.
Better defence, better goaltending, better bottom 6. Sounds like a recipe for a first round exit.

Even still, Florida is a powerhouse when healthy. That division is tough up at the top. Multiple teams over there would be challenging Vegas in the Pacific

All those players suck rats balls, whiny bunch of cry babies, hope they all follow their cry baby leader and quit on the team also.

Hyman - Good for sure. Type of player they needed but contract too long
Hopkins- PP specialist really. 5x5 he is Rat Ballz
Yamamoto- Rat Ballz outside of the last couple of games. Went 8 games without a shot!
Pullmyharvey- Good improvement for him this year.
Bouchard-Their best Dman
Nurse- Regression City this year and costing huge bucks next year onwards.
Barrie- Same as Hopkins
Keith- Absolute waste of cash when you consider other holes on that team.
Russell- Well he blocks shots as always.
They lived off the PP for the first half of the season. It dried up and so did they.

He’s been the team’s 3rd best dman so I’d say it’s a bit pricey. Expected more offensively
