No, he wasn't projecting with Foerster. He was saying that your proposed deal is too much to give up for Kakko and I agree with him.
You do have to give but you don't give up more than you should buddy. - MJL
Rangers would never in a million yrs do that deal. How does that deal help them. They have 3 yrs invested in a 20 yr old all at the NHL level and they are going to start over with a complete unknown in Foerester. Deal would be a steal for Flyers |

Can Covid end the iron man streak? Or does that not count? - ClaudeFather
I'd think it ends it - no different than an injury imo. Bummer he's on protocol but kind of glad IP's streak will end. |

And how did you come to the conclusion that Foerster, a guy who has never played in NHL, is too much to give up without a projection of what he will be?
I suppose now you will endlessly argue 2+2=5. Because that is exactly the way to prove the absurd.

Lets put it this way: if one of Kakko/Alex hits projected superstar level, can the Rangers afford to keep them with Z,Fox,Panarin, Kreider etc signed to long expensive contracts?
And if they don't, and are largely middling players for the near future, is their worth anymore than the surer vets who might help them more and decent prospects? |

Giroux and Provorov put on Covid list. This season is a farce. - PLindbergh31
Yikes! Think I'll be sitting this one out too. |

But it's why I'm okay with IP's ending - so he doesn't get into a similar situation. Also, now he might not be so likely to play through something that would be better served by sitting out a game or so.

Bad enough that Risto with his turnip like hockey sense will be on the top pair tonight, but watch them move Yandle’s corpse up with Braun on the 2nd pairing. This may well be the worst top 4 D in franchise history.

Now we'll see how the team looks without Provorov, since some people on here think he sucks.
(For the record, I like him and think every GM in the league would call you if you put him on the block.) |

92-93 was well not good. That was for a full season

Can you find one person who thinks he sucks on this board?

If they do turn out to be quality NHL players then they can move them or others later or buyout others but selling low on a 20 yr old who has yrs of cost control would make no sense. In actuality developing these guys slowly works great for Rangers limits their next contracts. Trouba will eventually be moved in couple yrs as they have many top D prospects. Reason they traded Buchnevich was to create Cap flexibility |

So Giroux and the Forest are an overpay for Kakko. |

I think it’s about time we saw what this defense looks like without Provorov. We’ve never had to as you’ve stated and maybe this fan base needs a wake up call. |

what an overpay. Kakko doesn't fit into the 5 years away plan. |

The Flyers need all of the top prospects they can get. They shouldn't be giving up prospects in a trade of Giroux in my opinion. Foerster is a 1st round prospect with a big shot and a goal scoring winger. The position the Flyers are in dictates my opinion.
I won't address the rest of your childish response.

When will Kakko or Lefreniere be worth more in a deal? Now or when or if they reach superstar level?

Do you know what prospects are? They are projected NHL players.
Yeah, lets move on. |
