You don't trade real assets for a 38 yo Gio unless you think you've got a shot at the cup. He'd probably look good on Edmonton, but they don't have the cap space even with big retention.

They're 8pts out of the 2nd wildcard. I'm not going to sit here and say I'm confident they'll make the playoffs, or even that it's reasonably-likely, but they have 54 games left. Lots of hockey to play still.
That said, they probably won't be buyers unless they go on a heater over the next ~2 months |
