Did not see a Sam Lafferty trade coming.

For real. But I mean this can only be positive right? I know Nylander hasn't had the career so far, but being a former first round pick, I'm sure there's gotta be at least some potential there compared to Lafferty.

Definitely. Can't complain about cost in any sense.

I just think he's more of a vanilla top 6 skillset kind of guy that will be pigeonholed into bottom 6 duties. Not sure I really get it or understand what kind of roster Hextall is trying to build.

Well Alex Nylander wasn’t the worst forward on some pretty bad Hawks teams. Is he playing again yet? Last I knew he had a pretty serious injury that kept him out all last year.

Don’t expect anything to come out of this. Cool if it did I guess. Certainly a more exciting player to have buried in your depth chart than Lafferty.

The Pens are loaded with better versions of Laffs. Angello is better. Don't know anything about Nylander, but I guess he's taking a flier on some skill? Looks like he can at least score a few goals....which Laff can not.

Only 23 years old, great skill toolset that hasn't come together in big league yet, may never, who knows...knee injury in 2020 playoffs that took him out for half of a year at play here as well. 10 goals in 65 games just two seasons ago...that's 4 more than Laff has ever had in a season. Once again, I will say chances are you are right but once again I'll also say the beauty of sports is you never know for sure what is going to happen....I mean Evan Rodrigues is a 28 year old career 4th liner bum....or errr ahh wait....

Lafferty was a cool story for the region, but an easily replaceable player in terms of what he brings. O'Connor provides the same impact.

Nice. I did some sous vide fried chicken to watch Michigan get pummeled by Georgia.

I've wanted to try that. I sadly don't own a sous vide device yet. I just don't have the room for the bucket. Do you cook the chicken first then just bread and flash fry it after?

Yeah I sliced up breast into tenders. That sat in buttermilk for 4 hours. Then pat dry. Sous vide at 151F for an hour. Breaded with the flour mixture and flash fried in peanut oil. I lightly drizzled them with mild Buffalo sauce. poop was delicious.

I make killer cannoli cream and make my own ricotta cheese for the cream, but I never made the macaron cookies before. They're super hard actually and I want to try again to nail them better, but they tasted great.

That sounds awesome. Have you watched those Chef Steps guys? They do a lot of sous vide. They did fried chicken on the bone using that method.

I've read before that they are indeed hard to make...or to make them good, anyway. Those look pro.
