CC controls his own fate. NY is a train ride away. They are a perfect match. The rivalry thing is no more. Those days are long gone.

As you said we shall see. I do not think CC waives.

- hello it's me 2050

I would be surprised if G did not waive his NMC if asked, especially if the Flyers tell him they are going in a different direction and will not sign him in the off season.

I think the Flyers are missing a lot of things team wise. Your example was not what you made it out to be. That simple. The rest is a different conversation.

Nice dodge of the question that was asked ....

What I see there is some classic mid 90's clutch and grabbing.

Once Provy is cleared it's time to go 11-7 and cut Yandle's minutes down to as little as possible until his streak of playing consecutive games while avoiding contact reaches it's sad climax.

York should be in the top 6 going forward.

Kind of a puss move to change what I posted. I didn't mention JVR in this post, I posted that I didn't notice Frost last night!

Why would you be surprised? He has shown no desire to leave. nada. none. zero.

so they tell him they wont resigning him. He says ok. Will finish the year out here. Chuck has zero balls to do that to him anyway

Right now I still believe in Fletcher and like him, and believe he will do the right thing this season. If he doesn't and instead does more of what he did last off season, I will no longer be behind him because I don't believe that can work long term and will not address what I believe this team needs to really move forward.

There is no indication he will not follow the same path as last off season if he is still the GM. He made his moves and they all have backfired. didn't come out ahead nn any deal.

He will not in any way approach CC to give a list of teams to be traded to imo.

No, your point was disgusting and poorly thought out. Can't spin out of this one. How many other players have yet to test positive? Why did you single Yandle out? Please.
- MJL

He singled Yandle out cause he is terrible l, but never ever seems to get hurt. To be clear I don’t want that and don't think anyone does.

No one wants him to get hurt or even get Omnicron, but I think the guy just meant what a lot of us were thinking as in, “Is every athlete in pro sports going to get Omnicron and miss time, besides Yandle.” It kinda seems that way.

We have teams in the nhl which have already had 10 - 15 or in the Flames case 27 employees/players get it. It’s kinda human nature to question if that is what will eventually stop Yandles streak. Don’t think his intent was ghoulish..

Well you can’t hit guys in the head anymore on shoulder checks like you could back them. It’s a different league.

Lindros would be as good as Mcd today. Who could defend him?

I don't have to ... look, I gave you my opinion which is the Flyers lack the speed and skill necessary to win in today's NHL. If you and others want to live on planet delusia and pretend the Flyers have all they need then that's your prerogative. I will stick to what I see game in and game out, season in and season out. The results are what matter more than anything else, and the results favor my opinion much more than yours.
- jd250

You claim that no flyers have scored a goal like that. Believe me, you don't have to but you should. Somehow though you're trying to spin that into others somehow saying that the Flyers have all they need. Your issue is that you don't even realize what opinion is actually being discussed.

Where's the dodge?

Question: So you think the Flyers have all the skill and speed they need to win consistently in this league right now?

Answer: I think the Flyers are missing a lot of things team wise.

What is it exactly that makes you believe that Fletcher will do the right thing?
You were all over what he did last off season. Raved about it. Changed the culture. Got rid of the problem players. Added a shoot first forward. A top pairing D man. Added Ristolainen who you've labeled in the past as one of the best defenseman in the NHL. That's what you thought the team needed.

I hope Fletcher didn’t waste his time watching the game last night. Impossible to judge this team with even more players missing.

It seems like we will most likely follow this .500 record/play for the rest of the season. If that's the case, then I believe Fletch blows it up. Not saying he will make the right moves, but he will make moves. G, TK, Sanheim, Frost... There are a few (very few) untouchable players. Many more untradeable players because of deals. G would be an attractive rental for the playoffs as long as we take back some salary.

Question would be does G come back over the summer to a team friendly deal to finish out his career? We'd probably still pay him more then he might get on market...???

Totally unrelated, but Ellis missed 0 games last year w lower body injuries (at least according to tsn). Assuming that’s accurate..

Last lower body injury was Jan of 18. 3 years.

I would def still refer to him as injury prone still, but flyers could not have predicted his groin issue or whatever it is. Say what you want, but they are a different team with him and probably a playoff team.
