It seems like we will most likely follow this .500 record/play for the rest of the season. If that's the case, then I believe Fletch blows it up. Not saying he will make the right moves, but he will make moves. G, TK, Sanheim, Frost... There are a few (very few) untouchable players. Many more untradeable players because of deals. G would be an attractive rental for the playoffs as long as we take back some salary.

Question would be does G come back over the summer to a team friendly deal to finish out his career? We'd probably still pay him more then he might get on market...???

It is long past due to move on from CC. He is not part of the solution going forward.

Good for Carter Hart in his post game comments, stating its a joke that the league is pulling players from the lineup with no symptoms, he is spot on!

Totally unrelated, but Ellis missed 0 games last year w lower body injuries (at least according to tsn). Assuming that’s accurate..

Last lower body injury was Jan of 18. 3 years.

I would def still refer to him as injury prone still, but flyers could not have predicted his groin issue or whatever it is. Say what you want, but they are a different team with him and probably a playoff team.

What’s up with the Flyers and groin injuries

He singled Yandle out cause he is terrible l, but never ever seems to get hurt. To be clear I don’t want that and don't think anyone does.

No one wants him to get hurt or even get Omnicron, but I think the guy just meant what a lot of us were thinking as in, “Is every athlete in pro sports going to get Omnicron and miss time, besides Yandle.” It kinda seems that way.

We have teams in the nhl which have already had 10 - 15 or in the Flames case 27 employees/players get it. It’s kinda human nature to question if that is what will eventually stop Yandles streak. Don’t think his intent was ghoulish..

Where's the dodge?

Question: So you think the Flyers have all the skill and speed they need to win consistently in this league right now?
- jd250

Answer: I think the Flyers are missing a lot of things team wise.

- MJL

Yes, the exact definition of a dodge ... which is what you do ALL THE TIME. You NEVER site specifics because you have NONE! All you do is put down other's comments, but you offer nothing in terms of real content. You are just SAD!

What are the NHL rules around covid and who all agreed to them?

You claim that no flyers have scored a goal like that. Believe me, you don't have to but you should. Somehow though you're trying to spin that into others somehow saying that the Flyers have all they need. Your issue is that you don't even realize what opinion is actually being discussed.

I believe it’s more of a development/coaching issue than a scouting/drafting issue.

I think it's safe to say that no human being should question why another person hasn't gotten Covid and definitely shouldn't complain about that because they happen to not like a player on a sports team. That's against my character. There is no, or at least there shouldn't be an argument on that matter. Bringing that up is what is actually sad.

Answering the question is the exact definition of a dodge? It seems as though you can't stick to the content. The context of the conversation was if that goal was a smoking gun per se that points out that the Flyers don't have enough skill and speed. You made the play out to be some miraculous goal rather than a badly played one on one by a defenseman. If you would actually spend some time, you can find plenty of highlights of Flyers scoring goals on dekes at full speed. For you to suggest that I don't site specifics or offer nothing in terms of content is delusional. You and I have had numerous conversations in depth on topics.

What is it exactly that makes you believe that Fletcher will do the right thing?
You were all over what he did last off season. Raved about it. Changed the culture. Got rid of the problem players. Added a shoot first forward. A top pairing D man. Added Ristolainen who you've labeled in the past as one of the best defenseman in the NHL. That's what you thought the team needed.

- MJL

Chuck made moves to improve this team. I guess he should have had a crystal ball to show TK, Provy, Oskar and a bunch of others, aren't as good as we originally thought. Couple that with some key injuries and this is what you get

When are you going to hold the players accountable for their pi$$ poor play, and not blame it all on management because you miss Ronnie?

I hope Fletcher didn’t waste his time watching the game last night. Impossible to judge this team with even more players missing.

Word on the street is he had Chris Stewart over and they played Twister.

This one doesn’t bother me as much as Patrick / Makar. How many other teams passed on Pasta before he was picked? The fact scouts agreed Makar or Heis were better options is far more upsetting given it was early in the draft.

Having said this, people seem to forget at the time of this draft Giroux was declining (obviously wasn’t the case looking now); he was coming off core injury and it showed we really didn’t have a strong RH center nor a strong natural center prospect, we also didn’t have a shoot first center. We were gifted the #2 pick and Patrick literally checked all the boxes for our franchise’s biggest position need (arguably). While it’s frustrating our scouts wanted to steer clear, i somewhat understand the pick

No one wants anyone to get covid - can we move on from the covid discussion please before this goes off the rails.. trying to solve a bigger riddle which is how to cure the ills of the flyers

Yep he is legit. No question and they traded him to us cause he is injury prone. Why else would they accept that pile of garbage we have up.

How is that source credible? We should take any comment like that with a grain of salt. Again, in terms of the Patrick pick. There was no consensus among the scouts. Scouts did not agree on anything. Some wanted Makar, some Heiskanen, some Patrick.
