lol looks like that might be the case Smith just kicked the puck in his own net a' la' Luongo

Now they just need Hamhuis and LE with some own goals to round it out...

Cheers!

Nylander "the bust" got his 16th of the season. After not living up to his contract, he is now over a PPG. Sounds like another Swede Van fans might know.

I feel for Smith. He's obviously still hurt. His lateral movement when he has to push off his blocker side leg is painful to watch.

If Halak went to EDM what's the realistic return?

2-1 Edmonton now.

Maybe JR can create a bidding war for Halak between Edm and Tor. Both goalies are yucky.

Campbell has great numbers besides the start of this game... better luck with Edm and Pitts

That's both their starters though.

He’s old and overrated. Sure great at puck handling but nobody mentions he sucks on decisions & his mistakes are aplenty. Oilers & Philly suck for years without a real goalie.

He was great for them last year and off to a good start before he got hurt this year. He's old yes, but quite underrated as far as what he's done for the Oil IMHO.

Its not his fault he is old. The Oilers banking on him to replicate his North Div. season. with their defense, and Koskinen as the fallback when, not if he got hurt is all on Holland.

He’s always getting injured so hardly a true #1.

Getting old and injury prone doesn't make him a bad Goalie in my books. There's actually a reason he's lasted in the league 20 years past his draft year. It's a rare feat and generally you have to be good at your job to do it.

I agree with Carse though. Banking on him and Koskinen was a mistake.

Even the Great One was traded. But Demko is by far the most "untouchable" on this team.

Gretzky was sold, not traded.

Wayne Gretzky, the captain and the heart and soul of the dynastic Edmonton Oilers, was traded on Aug. 9, 1988, sent to the Los Angeles Kings along with center Mike Krushelnyski and defenseman Marty McSorley. Coming to the Oilers in return were center Jimmy Carson, first-round draft choice Martin Gelinas, first-round picks in 1989, 1991 and 1993, and $15 million.
