Are there blackout restrictions for local games?

The main problem I have with espn+ is the exclusive games. I think fans should be able to see all their teams' games by either subscribing to a local cable package or subscribing to a streaming service. They shouldn't have to do both. Having exclusive games on the streaming service forces fans to get both.

I suppose if the streaming service lacks local blackouts then a fan could just get that, if they do not watch anything else on cable.

There are. It sucks because I'm in central jersey and Philly games are considered local.

EROD is the modern day Scorin Warren Young. I have liked him since he got here and everyone seemed to hate him and he was the whipping boy for quite some time and he has done nothing but give and honest effort each and every night. I don't think people hated ERod, at least none that I saw. Just didn't like him in the top 6 the last couple years. This year obviously he's worthy of top 6 and if he ends up on the third line and keeps playing the way he is we're gonna be dangerous. IMO he would still be on the top PP unit LW wall because all the Sid and Geno years we've been wanting a guy who could rip one timers from that side and it looks like we finally got one. Best we've had since Kessel(who sucked at one timers lol)

Yes. Used to kill me when I lived in DC and could never watch the Pens against the Capitals. But now that I'm in San Diego I don't care. They gonna black out the two times the play the dippoop Kings on me? Oh well...

Happens. We're doing well and Elite Rod is holding down the fort just fine. Maybe even playing better hockey than Carter would be. We can wait on Carter for a bit, especially with Malkin coming back probably the next game.

They do need to get rid of the blackout rules. Carolina games get blacked out for me and it’s like a 4 hour drive. How is that the local market?

This is unusual for me. Usually Philly games get blacked out even though I'm in NJ. I'm only a little over an hour from Philly though.
