Doesn't Rask have to pass through waivers to be able to play for the Bruins? I remember Nabokov had to when the Wings signed him later in the season and the Islanders picked him up...or was the waivers because Nabokov had played in the KHL or something? |

Yes your memory is perfect. Nabokov had started the season with a KHL team and then left his KHL team. That's why he had to clear waivers. Rask is just a regular UFA. Even if the Islanders had traded Nabokov to the Red Wings, he would have had to clear waivers. It was presumed some other team would have claimed him if that occurred. Thanks for reading. Have a good day. |

How are the Bruins in a battle to make the playoffs? They are 6 games over .500. The 9th place team is Detroit who is just 1 game over 500. The rest of the conference isn't even close. All hot garbage. Basically we're not even halfway through the season and the 8 playoff teams are already determined. |

We’ll he does have his connections to the Gretzky’s.
I’d also point out that everyone seems to be mentioning Babcock but they all forget that his wife already vetoed a move back there. She will not be moving to Edmonton and hence Babcock will not even be discussed in Edmonton. |

Cause he played in the KHL I think is right. Rask is a free agent. Maybe it's Tampa Bay like cap circumvention. You would think Sweeney would build a better team though. |

The Flyers need Tocchet. Like now. Other step is to add Khudobin as a major upgrade on Martin Jones. This back-up goalie problem is holding them back. Once that's resolved, they have as much talent as anyone (I read that here) to make a run.
13 wins in 34 games. Negative 28 goal differential, 2nd worst in conference. But big-time buyers... |

He has a .906 save percentage which is decent for a back-up. Khubodin is in the minors and sporting an NHL low for his career of .873!!! He is NOT an upgrade this year. Besides he has another year on his contract where Jones is a UFA this summer.

So no chance for Babcock in EDM or CHI. Someone awhile back posted why he had no chance of going to Chicago. Babcock in EDM would be 25 min a night for Hyman. I thought the game had passed Babcock by when TOR immediately had an upward trajectory when Keefe took over. But I thought the same for Boudreau and look at him now. Maybe there is a fit for Babcock somewhere.

Who on the Blues does Army feel he could trade? The team has been plagued with injuries and covvid and is doing great. All the call ups are (I really hate to say this) buying into the system and the whole group is playing for each other and 4 rolling lines. Doesn’t matter who is supposed to be the best on the team. The line that is clicking that game gets the most ice time. Trade Neal? What value does he have? All teams passed on him when he went on waivers. Defense is finally playing better.
I understand that Army has always said if a hockey move makes sense he would do it. I trust Army. He fleeced Buffalo twice. He is a great GM.
I don’t see much if anything happening with the Blues coming up towards the deadline. A million dollar player swap??? Why. |

That Tanner guy once said Crouse was the worst player in the NHL and probably didn't even belong in the AHL. Tocchet needed to be fired for playing him over Nik Petan. Good insight. |

Haynes and Jeannot have made a big difference for the Preds. But Soros, Duchene, Johnannson, and Granlund have stepped up too.The defense doesn’t seem to miss Ellis either. |

The Blues need a LD and by mid February they need to move Brown up in the lineup. |

Lefty d. Yeah. Maybe
Brown is where he is for a reason. I absolutely LOVE the fact that he is Jeff Brown’s son and playing for us. We have plenty of good players 👍 |
