Sutter just said the team trainers told him Marky wasn't fit to play.

OK . Well it is good to see Flames only allowed 6 goals tonight.

Remember when Kman was in here bragging about all those shutouts? At least Tanev is helping to keep the goals against down.

A guy on Flames radio had a couple of interesting stats. They've only won 4 games since December 1st, and their record when the Goalie doesn't get a shutout is 10-10-6.

I shouldn't laugh at them . I am sure if I was playing the score would be 7 or 8 goals against. I think it is remarkable that these athletic machines can keep that number down to 6.

They signed someone today on a PTO but also let someone walk away from the contract.

That was a run through murderers row. Hope the Canucks can fare a bit better next week. Games in hand have pretty much evened out.

Should be interesting. I'm honestly not sure how the break is going to effect things.

Weird listening to the Flames radio broadcast tonight. They have no idea whether they are going to play Thursday or not.

Bottom 4 of each division…

Pacific easily is the Best
North East easily the Worst

More parity in the Pacific which isn’t as weak as predicted.
North East is all haves & have nots. Same goes for the Metro.

Here's an interesting thing question I can't find the answer to. Has a team ever finished in last place after reaching the finals the previous year? I'm guessing it's never happened in the modern era. Habs are right there in the standings.

Just took a quick look at Panthers and they did in between 2011/12 (CQF Loss) and 2012/13 (finished 30th). Only 30 teams in 2012 I believe.

If you want to look more here’s a good link:

https://records.nhl.com/f...thers/year-by-year-record

The NHL list all-time team records including position finished. Quick scan and last place finishes really stand out.

Edit: Oops, you said finals. That might take a bit more looking…
