Would’ve been a bad change. Nylander went off and of he went across the ice for a change it would’ve left the entire side of the ice open. He needed to stay on in that situation. But yes, he for sure was tired and let the man go.

He was pressuring the guy with the puck so that they couldn't breakout quick, but it bit him in the ass, as he was way too gassed to be of any use after it.

Matthews line was only one really clicking offensively. Kerfoot was good tonight. Overall, they played better than I expected. Thought they would be down after playing very low energy games.

They also seemed gassed by the end. Spezza has had three not great games

You don’t not trade a player because of OT play. But yes he is good playing at 3on3. He tags the puck which typically leads to ‘cheating’ and over playing/committing which opens lanes in a 3on3 situation

Not only has it been awhile since they've played a string of games, it's been a hot minute since they've even played a good team. I'm glad it wasn't the rude awakening I was worried it could have been. But hopefully they saw they can't coast against strong teams.

- Matthews sees Ava player far side inside Leafs blueline and immediately goes over for coverage
- play never leaves their end again

At no point what ever does Matthew even get close to his bench let alone ‘skate right in front’ of it.

He needed to back heck as soon as the chance was missed and needed to go across and pick up the Avs player that crept inside the line.

Toughest road trip of the year and the team is short-handed. A point is good, too bad it came off of giving up a 3-goal lead.

They just need to get past this road trip and get everyone healthy.
