Why haven’t they traded Ritchie?

I've run through Stranger Things 3 or 4 times already, but waiting to go again closer to the next Chapter release.

Also, I just got both series extended & in 4K so I've had my fill of middle-earth for now, but goddamn I'm excited for the Amazon Prime series. I have a good feeling about it.

And the extended version of the 3rd Hobbit movie brings little to the plot, but I'm telling you the final battle is wicked cool. It makes up for the rest of the subpar-ness.

Oh ya for sure. They depended on green screens way to much, but i guess it cut down on cost

It's real interesting now how they've pioneered this thing on Mandalorian where instead of green screen it's LED screens with the actual backgrounds on them, providing light and everything. So it's an onset generated effect now, not added in after the fact. Pretty revolutionary filmmaking tech.

I heard about an interview with Ian McKellen where he talked about how angry he was filming the Hobbit because of the green screens. He said coming from the theatre made it very difficult for him to do stuff like that.

That is very cool. Even after I read an article about the Mando production and was scrutinizing it while watching, it's pretty convincing.
