Thinking about your Wright idea above, why would any team drafting 2nd overall be interesting in trading Wright on an ELC for Dahlin and his ticking clock before becoming a UFA?
Is that really a realistic trade scenario? - kingcong39
If there are no good offers then you don't trade him. If there is a good offer, you listen |

Ottawa has 5 games in hand down 6 points.
I think the Sabres sink below them and Seattle.
Imagine Seattle late in the season trying to tank

I would love to see a 3-OA pick, of course they would need Lady Lottery Luck to stay there...of course her smile giving them #1 or 2 would be perfect...Wright, Savoie baby |

If there's such thing as irony, seams like the Sabres should pick #2 after trading both #2's this offseason.
I think lady luck is bettman cross dressing.
I do not believe the draft lottery is 100% legit.

I have had that thought as well, although the do have a prestigious firm certifying it, which would destroy them and the NHL |

I’ve been offered 10 tickets to today’s bills game for free from season ticket holders for the chance to lock up the division title

Very good points.
I do question the validity of the lottery draft, not saying I'm %100 sold.
I think 1OA is tied to attendance and teams viability.
Goes hand and hand with the Sabres destroying there sth fan base.
Of course theres flaws in my thinking and you'll be able to judge them with the responses I receive 😀

Dahlin isn't getting traded. Adams is not a moron like Botts or Murray.
Everyone can see the talent coming up and Dahlin turning the corner. |

Kids 21 years old, has played on historically bad teams his entire career, surrounded by inept coaches, but he’s a bust. He’s not tearing up the league, but IMO a huge mistake to trade him we’d regret it a few years I’d think. - Sabres1523
Nah trade him for a 1st a prospect and a 2nd.
We need more picks to draft and develop. That’s the plan after all and Dahlin doesn’t fit the timeline. |

I’m going because I got free seats but I 1000% don’t want to.
I don’t know if I’ll stay the full game. I’m not tailgating that’s for sure. |

Great read Hank.
IMO, it depends on return. If someone is willing to over pay for him, which is not highly likely but it is possible, then I’d trade him in a flash.
2022 1st, 2023 2nd and prospect or 2C
For Dahlin and Hino, Sabres 4th in 2022
Question is, what’s a realistic return? Who is desperate enough to pay up for Dahlin?

New Years resolution Boss...less interaction on HB, stay away from arguments and especially attacks back and forth...more plain discussions. I'll faulter, I will, I know it...but I have bit my tongue and poop-canned responses before sending.
It's a work in progress. |

Could you give us an expected timeline for how long you plan on exaggerating the points of the Build Through The Draft camp by misrepresenting our position?
Or
Will it never end?
Lol, holy poop do you get kicked in the face twice every morning, or just once? |

As soon as you stop exaggerating trading one first round pick and jizzing in your pants about Tim Murray.
It depends what kind of horse I’m behind sometimes one, sometimes two.
Add- see post above yours for expected Dahlin return someone just posted, 1st and 2nd for Dahlin and a pick. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ |

Is the tank talk ever gonna end? 2023? 2024? 2025? What year?
it’s getting kinda ridiculous
There’s people on here talking about tanking next year already.
Like actually adding good players and trying to win hockey games isn’t even a thought
It’s absolutely bonkers

It’s not even that I say trade one first and one second round pick for an established top six player or top four dman and the typical responses “so you want to Tim Murray this thing”

We haven’t even played half of this year yet.
And we are losing our minds about what is going to happen next year.
I’m out for today. |

We have infinity cap space, holes all over the roster, but John Klingberg is 29 and we’re not trying to win games until half of Florida is underwater so that’s a no.
I honestly have never cared less about a draft pick then I do this year. I don’t care who we pick. They will be 18. It will take 3-4 years for them to be in their prime making a difference.

I’m more of maximizing the players we can’t keep, looking at opportunities on players that may not be the right fit (Olofsson/Dahlin)
I agree next year looks strong, especially if Quinn can play even close to his AHL level, Power produces at the NHL level (it will
Be a Quinn/Hughes type situation since he opted for the extra year of college)
Cozens can keep improving, Tallness can keep improving, ect. Future is bright. Just does not hurt to maximize potential opportunities |
