Yeah, was reading about NZ’s South Island network of lakes and man-made canals that feed glacial water to eight power stations. The water is super clean and it produces these monster fish. I guess excess food from fish farms filters into these canals and the wild fish just gorge themselves.

IGFA recognizes this as the record.

This fish was never recorded or entered. It's a rumor. A couple of fishermen claim to have seen it caught but the alleged lucky fishermen never stepped forward. It should be treated as click bait as everything is based on a photo that shows no context or anything to compare the fish.
