When healthy I think the best lines are this based on who's likely to stay in the lineup...

Jake-Sid-Rust/ERod
Heinen-Geno-Rust/ERod
Zucker-Carter-Kap
ZAR-Blueger-McGinn

I'd rotate ERod/Rust to see where each fits best then run with it.

Agreed except I'm not ready to give up on Geno/Kap combo.

Kap doesn’t have the hockey IQ to play with Sid or Geno.

I'm too lazy to look it all up now but I wonder what Geno and Kaps fancies together look like ...because last season they were a treat to the eye's a lot of games...seemed to play very well together.

Geno was better without Kap in every way other than PDO related metrics.

45% xGF together. Yikes.

They had like a 104 pdo together. Kap is a high skill low IQ kind of player.

Yeah Simon has that effect.

If Simon had any scoring ability he would've had two last night.

I'd take that from any line all day every day, I think. Geno without Kap was 6GF, 11 GA

EDIT: and Kap away from Geno was 19 GF, 8GA...crazy

Thunderbolt, I'd say Zohorna fit in well with Blueger.
- Barnaby36

Zohorna actually won several battles in the corner. He also completed two passes to Penguin players in the offensive zone. One more and he ties Anchor-Reese's production.

We'll you do need a scorer, maybe the other linemate can be someone who has high IQ

Rust can score plenty. Give Geno him. Let Carter and Kap PDO their way through things on the 3rd line with sucker.

We'll of course he can haha. I'd rather not leave the third line just to PDO. Either way I guess idc as long as the lines are working.

It's honestly hilarious that this dude can't even accidentally score a goal. How could your finishing ability be in the negatives? lol

It's pretty amazing because he's so good in every other aspect of the game. If he figured out how to score 20 he'd be a $5M player.

Hextall needs to bring Jarry in some help, immediately.

I feel pretty good about Jarry, but not his workload. Both the stats and eye test suggest he's becoming a legit high end #1 goalie. OTOH, DeSmith's results haven't been pretty. That they are working Jarry so hard indicates more than bad luck.

They say Halak is available.

As part of his contract for this season, Halak is owed a $1.25MM bonus when he reaches his tenth game plus another $250K for maintaining a save percentage of .905 or higher which he’s clearly above at the moment. Placing those incentives in there helped the $1.5MM AAV of Halak’s deal become more affordable for them on the salary cap this season. However, with Vancouver deep into LTIR with Micheal Ferland’s contract, they won’t have any unused cap space to offset those bonuses against, meaning that they’d face a $1.5MM overage for Halak when his incentives are met which would come off their 2022-23 cap room.

Nucks are up against the cap next year as well.
Would you offer Heinen for him? I read some where else that they don't want a goalie back, some how that doesn't make sense, but hey it is Rutheford.....

Right now Heinen probably has much higher value than Halak, and personally, I'd be looking to extend him, not move him. Heinen has been awesome.

I'm not sure why VAN would move Halak right now if they're trying to fight for a playoff spot, but if he does come available I'd offer DeSmith and mid-round pick, maybe a 3rd.

Poulin and Legare were both scratched for their game against Hershey.
